• 1-     INDUCTION FOR JUNIOR SECTION STUDENTS:The induction program for junior section students began with the reporting day for new boys on 1st April 2025, followed by an interaction with the Pastoral Care staff and teachers. On 2nd April 2025, students had an opportunity to interact with their class teachers and visit the Middle and Senior Sections, including activities such as Wall Climbing, Obstacle Ground, Labs, Workshops, and Godhuli. On 4th April 2025, the students visited the BET - TATC, and on 5th April 2025, they explored Shardha Peeth, Eco Park, and Connaught Place, providing them with a well-rounded introduction to the school's facilities and environment

  2-     FRESHERS’ PARTY: -The Freshers' Party for the new boys, held on 19th April 2025, provided a warm reception to the newly admitted students, helping them acclimatize to the school environment. Graced by Principal Ma’am and Sir, the event featured vibrant performances, including dance routines, musical acts, and experience-sharing by the new boys, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The cultural evening was followed by a sumptuous outdoor dinner with music, making the children euphoric. Additionally, the Freshers' Party for Class 9th ,10th and 11th  was organized on 28th April 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in Vijay Hall, attended by chief guest Mrs. Kajal Marwaha (BPSP), Headmaster Mr. S.K. Baral, DOPC Mr. S.N. Tyagi, and Bursar BPSP. The students from all houses showcased their talents, impressing the audience, and the chief guest thanked and congratulated the new students for their active participation. The event was a resounding success, fostering camaraderie and making the newcomers feel at ease.

  3-     SKILL FEST :-Birla Public School, Pilani conducted its 6-day Skill Festival from 7th to 12th April 2025 at Vijay Sabhagar, with great enthusiasm, in the presence of the Director of Birla Education Trust and the Principal. The event welcomed experts from across India, who conducted workshops on Dhokra Metal Crafting, Western Music, Telescope Making, Physical Science, Theatre, Recycling, Robotics & Coding, Dance, and Cooking. The festival aimed to enhance creativity, innovation, and practical skills among students, enriching their learning experience. Activities were conducted at various venues with dedicated instructors for each session. The festival concluded with a grand closing ceremony on 12th April, where students showcased their newly acquired skills, including theatrical performances and dynamic dance routines, adding to the vibrancy of the event.

  4-     ENGLISH CREATIVE WRITING COMPETITION: -All students from Grade V to VIII participated enthusiastically in the English Creative Writing Competition. In Grade 5A, Rudra Modi secured first place in Poem Writing with 23 marks, followed by Sarthak Jain and Abhinav Jangir in Story Writing. In Grade 6A, Ranveer Balyan claimed first place in Story Writing with 22.5 marks, with Arjav Jain and Abhinav Baral securing the next positions. Grade 7A saw Shrey Singh and Abhinav Singh both winning first place in Story Writing and Poem Writing respectively, while Harshvardhan and Shreyash Yadav claimed second and third places in Poem Writing. In Grade 8, Aagam Jain and Sachit Roy secured the top spots in Story Writing, with Abhay Pratap Singh, Shravan Mishra, and Arjit Rohal excelling in Poem Writing. Pranay Singh won first place in Comic Strip, and Viyaan Soni was awarded a consolation prize in Story Writing. In Grade IX, Ujjwal Sanghai took first place, followed by Sarthak Singhal and Aditya Khemka. Grade X was dominated by Prakhar Krishnatray, who won first place, with Vihaan Moga and Turaany Laphane taking the second and third spots.

  5-     WORD BOOK DAY CELEBRATION : -On World Book Day, a Book Cover Design Activity was organized by the Junior Section Library. Students from Class V to VIII designed creative book covers with original titles based on their imagination. Mr. Laxmi Shankar Mishra was the incharge of this activity. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and showcased students' creativity.

  6-     MCGSMUN 2025 AT MAYO COLLEGE GIRLS SCHOOL, AJMER:-

  From 17th to 20th April 2025, a group of 11 boys participated in the Model United Nations (MUN) hosted by Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer. Representing various nations in UN simulations, the students demonstrated exceptional diplomacy, public speaking, and teamwork skills. This enriching experience broadened their perspectives on global issues and enhanced their understanding of international relations. The participants included Dhruv Singh Bisht, Anay Pratap, Raunak Somani, Ishan Rathee, Swarit Kukadia, Divyansh Agarwal, Krishna Kumar Lath, Ranidan S. Jodha, Krishnam Garg, Vasu Veena, and Aryan Kumar.

  7-     IPSC SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP:-The IPSC Swimming Championship was held at The Lawrence School, Sanawar, from 22nd to 26th April 2025, where seven students represented BPSP. Rishav Chowdhary won a Silver medal in the 200m freestyle and a Bronze medal in the 100m freestyle (Under-17 Boys). Ayushmaan Yadav from the Middle Section (12241, GH) also participated in the event.

  8-     LEADERSHIP CONCLAVE AT DALY COLLEGE, INDORE:-From 17th to 19th April 2025, Mr. S.K. Baral (Headmaster) and four Class XII students attended the Leadership Conclave at Daly College, Indore. The event featured interactive workshops on leadership, teamwork, and innovation, along with sessions from eminent speakers such as Lt. Gen. K J Singh, Mr. Anil Srinivasan, and Mr. Vikas Kumar (IIT Mumbai). The experience, guided by Principal Ms. Kajal Marwaha, was both impactful and enlightening.

  9-     BIRLA PUBLIC SCHOOL, PILANI AT 'DHAROHAR'25' EVENT IN GWALIOR:Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior, hosted a unique heritage skill fest, “DHAROHAR’25”, from 24th to 27th April 2025, with the theme “Assam Heritage”, celebrating the vibrant cultural legacy of Assam. A delegation from Birla Public School, Pilani, comprising 14 Middle Section students, 2 Senior Section students, and two escort teachers, actively participated in various competitive events, including Classical Dance, Folk Dance, Theatre, Music (Lok Geet of Assam), Terracotta Sculpture, Gamcha Chitron, Watercolour on Paper, Puthi Chitrankon, and Assamese Cuisine. We proudly secured the 3rd Prize in the Assamese Cuisine Competition, showcasing our students' creativity, teamwork, and cultural appreciation. The event played a crucial role in encouraging creativity, building confidence, promoting cultural awareness, fostering teamwork, enhancing critical thinking, instilling discipline, and providing a fun learning experience, all of which contributed to the holistic development of the participants.

  10- BIRLA PUBLIC SCHOOL, PILANI AT BSAI OPPORTUNITY SUMMIT 2025:The prestigious Boarding Schools Association of India (BSAI) Opportunity Summit 2025, held at Chitkara University, Chandigarh, from 25th to 27th April 2025, brought together top boarding schools for a platform focused on innovation, collaboration, and skill-building. A team of 16 students from Birla Public School, Pilani, accompanied by their escort teacher, Mr. Alok Marwal, participated in four major challenges: Theatrics, Impact, Entrepreneurship, and Content Creator Challenges. The students showcased exceptional talent, winning Gold Medals in the Theatrics Challenge (Mime Category), Content Creator Challenge, and Power Drill Challenge. The teams in the Impact and Entrepreneurship Challenges also received special recognition for their innovation and teamwork. This summit provided a transformative learning experience, allowing students to step beyond their comfort zones, sharpen critical thinking, and engage in collaborative peer learning with top students from across the country.

  11- INTER-HOUSE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT (2025–26):The Inter-House Basketball Tournament for the 2025–26 academic year took place from 29th April to 2nd May 2025, with exciting matches across the Middle, Junior, and Senior Sections. In the Middle Section, Budha House took 1st place, followed by Vivekanand House. Individual awards included Best Shooter Ayush (Budha House) and MVP Harsh Kumar (Budha House). Kishore House claimed 1st in the Junior Section, with Jyanshu as the Best Shooter and MVP Yashojjwal Singh. Panini House won the Senior Section, with Vishesh Goyal (Katyayan House) as Best Shooter and MVP Dhaanya Jain (Panini House). The tournament was a great success, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship.

  12- MUN PARTICIPATION AT MAYO COLLEGE GIRLS’ SCHOOL, AJMER:

  A delegation of eleven students from Birla Public School, Pilani, participated in the Model United Nations (MUN) conference hosted by Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer, from 17th to 20th April 2025. The event saw over 220 students from across India engage in dynamic debates on global issues such as the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, the cost of living crisis, gender-based violence, and more. Representing countries including Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Taiwan, and Iran, the Birla Public School delegation participated in various committees, showcasing their research, diplomacy, and public speaking skills. The MUN experience enriched students' understanding of global politics, enhanced their communication abilities, and fostered teamwork, leadership, and critical thinking.

  13- PARTICIPATION IN RS ZOOM POSTCARD: “THE SOLUTION SUMMIT – FROM CHALLENGES TO CHANGE”:Birla Public School, Pilani participated in the RS Zoom Postcard hosted by Shiv Nadar School, India, on 30th April 2025, based on the theme “The Solution Summit: From Challenges to Change.” The 90-minute virtual session brought together students aged 16–18 from Round Square schools worldwide to reflect on personal and academic challenges and collaboratively explore meaningful solutions. Representing Panini House, six students from Classes XI and XII—Sai Gobind Keshari, Neev Tulshyan, Bhavesh Agarwal, Vatsal Jangir, Shaurya Sharma, and Rohit Yadav—actively engaged in pre-call reflections and insightful breakout room discussions. Guided by Mr. Ratna Vadapally, Teacher In-Charge, the students demonstrated empathy, leadership, and global awareness. The session fostered skills such as critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and international collaboration while reinforcing the Round Square IDEALS.

  14- PARTICIPATION IN RS ZOOM POSTCARD: “IF THE OLYMPICS DISAPPEARED TOMORROW, WHAT WOULD WE LOSE BEYOND SPORTS?”:-Birla Public School, Pilani participated in the Round Square Zoom Postcard hosted by The Affiliated High School of Peking University’s Dalton Academy, China, on 23rd April 2025. The session, themed “If the Olympics Disappeared Tomorrow, What Would We Lose Beyond Sports?”, brought together 43 global participants to explore the deeper significance of the Olympic Games. Six students from Vyas House—Pushkar, Mugilan, Mehul, Aarav Shukla, Aniket, and Vasu Veena—actively contributed to Baraza breakout discussions, reflecting on the Olympics as a symbol of unity, perseverance, and cultural exchange. Guided by Teacher In-Charge Mr. Devender Singh Rajawat, the students exhibited excellent public speaking, global awareness, and collaborative thinking. The session emphasized values beyond sports, reinforcing the Olympic spirit as a global force for peace and inspiration.

  15- PHYSICAL SCIENCE WORKSHOP BY DR. RAKESH KUMAR AWASTHI AT BPS PILANI :-Birla Public School, Pilani conducted an engaging Physical Science Workshop on April 13 and 14, led by Dr. Rakesh Kumar Awasthi, Head of the Physics Department at St. George's College, Agra. Through hands-on experiments and interactive demonstrations, Dr. Awasthi inspired students to delve deeper into the practical applications of physics, encouraging critical thinking and scientific curiosity. The workshop offered a dynamic platform for conceptual clarity and real-life learning, making science come alive beyond the pages of textbooks.

  16- POSHAN PAKHWADA CELEBRATION AT BPS PILANI :-As part of the Government of India’s Poshan Abhiyan initiative during the celebration of Poshan Pakhwada, Birla Public School, Pilani organized an engaging interactive session on April 19, led by Dr. P.R. Deepa, Faculty of Biological Sciences, BITS Pilani. The session focused on promoting awareness about nutrition and healthy living, inspiring students to adopt balanced dietary habits and make informed lifestyle choices.

  17- EARTH DAY CELEBRATION AT BPS PILANI

  Birla Public School, Pilani celebrated Earth Day on 22nd April to raise awareness about environmental conservation, sustainable living, climate change, and the judicious use of natural resources. The day featured a variety of activities including a speech, pledge, PowerPoint presentations, group discussions, and engaging outdoor sessions on the school lawn, all aimed at fostering environmental responsibility among students.

  18- SHAKESPEARE’S DAY CELEBRATION AT VIDYA NIKETAN BIRLA PUBLIC SCHOOL, PILANI: On 23rd April 2025, Vidya Niketan Birla Public School, Pilani celebrated Shakespeare’s Day with enthusiasm through a variety of performances showcasing the Bard’s literary brilliance. The event featured a video on Shakespeare’s life, comic scenes by Junior Section students, sonnet recitations by Middle Section students, and a compelling skit on tragic heroes by the Senior Section, making it a memorable tribute to the legendary playwright.

  1. March 14, 2025 – Holi Celebration:-The Middle Section of BPS Pilani came alive with the vibrant spirit of Holi, as students and staff gathered to celebrate the festival of colors, joy, and togetherness. The festivities took place across all three sections, with students dancing and playing Holi to the beats of the DJ in the Adventure Field (Middle Section), the Junior Playground, and the Skating Rink (Junior Section). A special celebration was also organized for the staff at Godhuli, where they embraced the festive spirit with enthusiasm and camaraderie. The event was a beautiful blend of tradition and joy, fostering a sense of unity and happiness among all participants.

• March 23, 2025 – Martyrs' Day Tribute:-Birla Public School, Pilani, paid tribute to the immortal sacrifices of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, who bravely laid down their lives for India's freedom. To honor their legacy, students of the Middle Section observed two minutes of silence, reflecting on the courage and patriotism of these great freedom fighters. The solemn tribute served as a reminder of their unwavering dedication to the nation and inspired students to uphold the values of bravery and selflessness.
• March 25-30, 2025 – Leadership & Adventure Camp at Mount Abu:-The young leaders of Vidya Niketan, Birla Public School Pilani embarked on an unforgettable Leadership & Adventure Camp at Mount Abu. Engaging in trekking, team-building activities, and scout training, students honed their resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills. Such experiential camps play a crucial role in shaping their confidence and adaptability, preparing them to face challenges in their daily lives with courage and determination.
• March 25-30, 2025 – Exploring Rajasthan: A Journey Through History, Heritage, and Culture:A group of 73 students from Class IX and XI, accompanied by six teachers, embarked on an enriching educational tour covering Pushkar, Kumbhalgarh, Jodhpur, and Bikaner. The journey began with a visit to the Brahma Temple and Pushkar Lake, followed by an exploration of Kumbhalgarh Fort, where students witnessed its historical significance, a breathtaking sunset, and a mesmerizing light show. In Jodhpur, they visited Umaid Bhawan Palace, learning about Maharaja Umaid Singh, and explored Indiabulls Mall. The tour concluded in Bikaner with a visit to Junagarh Fort and the city's unique marketplace. Throughout the trip, students gained insights into Rajasthan’s royal heritage, historical architecture, and cultural diversity, making it a truly educational and unforgettable experience.
• March 27-30, 2025 – A Memorable Tour to Jaipur and Agra:-From March 27 to 30, 109 junior section boys (Class 5 to 8), accompanied by eight teachers, embarked on an exciting educational tour to Jaipur and Agra. In Jaipur, they explored Amer Fort, admired the Jantar Mantar, and enjoyed a stay at Park Inn with delicious local cuisine. The next day in Agra, they visited the Agra Fort and marveled at the Taj Mahal, gaining insights into Mughal history. After breakfast on March 30, they began their return journey, stopping at McDonald’s in Jaipur for a fun meal. The trip blended history, culture, and adventure, leaving the students with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation of India's heritage.
• March 29, 2025 – POSH & POCSO Training for Staff:Birla Public School, Pilani, conducted a comprehensive training session on POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) for its staff. Led by Col. Alankar Bharadwaj, the session focused on workplace ethics, child safety, and legal protocols to create a secure environment for all. The training covered prevention strategies, reporting mechanisms, and the crucial role of educators in safeguarding students. Such initiatives reaffirm the school's commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• March 30, 2025 – Farewell to Class 8 Students: Birla Public School, Pilani, bid a heartfelt farewell to its Class 8 students as they transitioned from the Junior Wing to the Middle Wing. The event was filled with warm wishes, cherished memories, and excitement for new opportunities. Teachers and juniors expressed their love and best wishes, making it a truly memorable and emotional send-off, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in their academic journey.
• March 4, 2025 – Celebrating Excellence: Felicitation of Cricket & Quiz Champions:-Birla Public School, Pilani, held a special General Assembly to honor the winners of the thrilling Inter-House Cricket Match and the intellectually stimulating Library Quiz. The event celebrated sportsmanship, knowledge, and teamwork, inspiring students to excel in both physical and intellectual pursuits.
• March 6, 2025 – Basic Life-Saving Skills (BLSS) Session:-A Basic Life-Saving Skills (BLSS) Session was conducted for the Middle and Senior Sections to equip students with essential emergency response techniques. The session focused on first aid, CPR, handling emergencies, and quick decision-making in critical situations. Students actively participated in hands-on demonstrations, learning how to stay calm and respond effectively during medical emergencies. These sessions are an important initiative toward making students more aware, responsible, and prepared for unforeseen situations.
• March  9, 2025-The Inter House Cricket Tournament commenced on 9th February 2025, with fifteen students from each house participating. The final match was played on 15th March 2025 between Bal House and Shishu Griha 1 House, with Bal House emerging victorious. Individual awards were presented to Aagam Jain (Bal House) as the Man of the Tournament, Shubhang Kaul (SG) as the Best Batsman, Prince Rana (Bal House) as the Best Bowler, and Jashan (Bal House) as the Emerging Player. The house-wise positions were: 5th Position - Kishore House, 4th Position - Kumar House, 3rd Position - SG-2 House, 2nd Position - SG-1 House, and 1st Position - Bal House.
• February 28, 2025-The Inter House Basketball Tournament commenced on 28th February 2025, with ten students from each house participating. The final match, played on 6th March 2025, saw Kumar House defeating Bal House to claim the title. Individual awards were given to Vivan Yadav (Kumar House) as the Best Shooter, Srivats Agarwal (Kumar House) as the Best Rebounder, Laishram DK (Kumar House) as the Best Defender, and Chinmay Joshi (Kumar House) as the Most Valuable Player. The final house-wise rankings were: 5th Position - SG-1 House, 4th Position - Kishore House, 3rd Position - SG-2 House, 2nd Position - Bal House, and 1st Position - Kumar House.

February  2025

1. Interhouse Book Review Competition
The Junior Section hosted the Interhouse Book Review Competition on February 1, 2025, at Montessori Hall, where students presented reviews in groups, demonstrating their comprehension and analytical skills. The competition was judged by Mrs. Aditi Chaudhary and Mrs. Radha Sharma, with Mr. Laxmi Shankar Mishra as the event in-charge. The Principal, as Chief Guest, engaged with participants and appreciated their efforts. Winners: Kishore House  Kumar House  Shishu Griha I.

2. BET-TATC Skill Fest 2025 – Overall Champions!
BPS Pilani secured 1st Position (Overall Champion) at the BET-TATC Skill Fest 2025, held from February 3-7, 2025, at Birla Education Trust, Pilani. A delegation of 44 students participated across various disciplines, securing top ranks. Achievements:  1st Place in Grains Collage, Paper Craft, Wash Painting, Jute Craft (Bag Making), IoT House Challenge, Electronic Logic Gates Circuits;  3rd Place in Robo-Navigation Challenge; Special Award for Wash Painting. Maj. Gen. (Retd.) S.S. Nair, AVSM, Director of BET Pilani, praised the students' creativity and technical expertise during the valedictory function at G.D. Birla Memorial Lawns.

3. Astronomy Workshop
On February 6, 2025, at the Skating Rink, Junior Section students attended an Astronomy Workshop conducted by BITS Pilani. Topics included the Solar System, planetary parade, and celestial bodies, followed by a stargazing session where students observed Venus, Jupiter, Mars, and the Moon through telescopes.

4. Visit to Sewage Treatment Plant
Grade 7 students visited the Sewage Treatment Plant on February 8, 2025, as part of their Science chapter, "Wastewater Story." The trip helped students understand wastewater treatment and sustainable water use, broadening their environmental awareness.

5. Interhouse Library Quiz
An engaging Interhouse Library Quiz was conducted on February 9, 2025, for the Junior Section to enhance literary knowledge. Winners: Kanad House & Vivekanand House.

6. Farewell to Class of 2025
BPS Pilani bid farewell to the outgoing Class 12 students on February 12, 2025, with a memorable evening of performances, speeches, and reflections. Teachers and juniors celebrated their journey and achievements, making the event an emotional and inspiring one.

7. Interhouse Computer Quiz Competition
The Interhouse Computer Quiz was conducted on February 15, 2025, at Montessori Hall by the Computer Department (Junior Section). Master Lokesh Mohil and Animesh Kumar anchored the event, with Mr. S.K. Baral (Headmaster, Middle Section) as the Chief Guest. Winners:  Kishore House & SG-II (Combined Winners).

8. INSPIRE MANAK Awards 2025
BPS Pilani celebrates four students for winning the prestigious INSPIRE MANAK Award 2025 and securing a spot at the State Level Exhibition in Jhunjhunu. Winners: Daksh Sharma (Landmine Detecting Shoes), Neev Tulsyan (Electric Charging from Vehicles), Molik Sethi (Night Collar), and Tanmay Sigar (L.C.H.T - Low-Cost Hygiene Toilet).

9. Interhouse "Maths in Action" Contest
The Interhouse "Maths in Action" Contest was held on February 22, 2025, at the Assembly Hall and featured activities like paper folding, speed challenges, role plays, quizzes, and lab demonstrations. Mr. Manoj Tewari and Mr. Manoj Saxena judged the competition, while Chief Guest Mr. S.K. Baral highlighted the importance of mathematics in real life. Winners: Kishore House – 195 points  Kumar House – 160 points Shishu Griha II – 132 points.

10. National Science Day Celebrations (February 25-28, 2025)
Birla Public School Pilani organized a series of activities to celebrate National Science Day and inculcate a scientific temperament among students. Interhouse Science Quiz (February 25, 2025): Kanad House (Senior) and Vivekanand House (Middle Section) won the quiz, which tested students' knowledge in physics, chemistry, biology, and general science. Educational Visits (February 27, 2025): Class XI Science students visited BrahMos Aerospace to explore aerospace and defense technology, while Class IX students visited CEERI (Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute) to learn about advancements in electronics and communication. Expert Lecture by Topmoy Guha Sarkar on Cosmology (February 28, 2025): Students attended an insightful session on the universe, space science, and astrophysics. BET TATC Visit (February 28, 2025): Junior Section students explored robotics and automation applications at the BET Technology and Training Centre. These activities encouraged critical thinking and exposed students to cutting-edge scientific research.

11. Interhouse Cricket Tournament (18th – 24th February 2025)
The much-awaited Interhouse Cricket Tournament took place between 18th and 24th February 2025. After a series of thrilling matches, the final was played between Patanjali House and Katyan House. Katyan House won the toss and elected to field first. Patanjali House managed to put up a score of 70 runs in 12 overs. In response, Katyan House played a competitive match but could only reach 67 runs. Patanjali House won the final by 3 runs. Mohd. Faiz Alam was declared the Hero of the Match.

12. Interhouse Football Final: Kumar House Claims Victory
The Junior Section Interhouse Football Final witnessed an exciting clash between Kumar House and Kishore House. Both teams showcased remarkable skills and sportsmanship, making it a thrilling contest. With a stellar performance, Kumar House emerged victorious with a 3-1 win.

13. Talk on World Polar Bear Day
The students of the Humanities stream organized a talk on World Polar Bear Day on February 27, 2025. The discussion focused on habitat destruction, poaching activities, and their impact on the polar bear population. The role of polar bears as an indicator species and the rising demand for their fur in Arctic Region nations were key points. The talk was delivered by Master Aniket of 11F, who provided valuable insights on conservation efforts.

14. Subject Orientation Program for Classes IX & X
The Subject Orientation Program was held for students of Classes IX & X to guide them in making informed choices regarding their academic streams. Teachers and counselors provided insights into various subjects, career prospects, and skill-based learning approaches to help students make well-informed decisions about their future studies.

15. Educational Visits for Science Day
As part of the National Science Day celebrations, students participated in multiple educational visits on February 27, 2025. Class XI Science students visited BrahMos Aerospace to explore innovations in aerospace and defense, while Class IX students visited CEERI (Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute) to gain insights into advancements in electronics and communication.

1- INTER HOUSE SKATING COMPETITION:-The Inter-House Skating Competition was held from 19th to 21st December 2024, with a total of 55 students participating. Kishore Griha secured 1st place, followed by Bal Griha in 2nd, Kishore Griha again in 3rd, SG 1 in 4th, and SG 2 in 5th place. The Best Skater awards were given to Yashojjawal Singh, Navtesh Choudhary, Parth Yadav, and Tirth Kaila for their outstanding performances.

2- ORGANIC FARM HOUSE VISIT :-On 18th January 2025, students of Birla Public School, Junior Campus visited Manju Organic Farm House in Pilani, gaining insights into sustainability and eco-friendly practices. They learned about organic farming methods like composting and crop rotation. The visit inspired them to appreciate fresh produce and develop healthy habits. Students explored diverse plants, animals, and crops, including endangered species like Red Sandalwood and Olive trees. They observed agricultural practices, tasted organic oranges, carrots, and radish, and learned about Date Palm plantation. The trip was both educational and enjoyable.

3-SGFI NATIONALS YOGASANA U-17 BOYS:  One boy from middle section Master Aarav Kumar IX- H.No. 12259 BH participated in SGFI Nationals Yogasana U-17 boys (2024-25) which was held from Jan.15, 2025 to Jan. 18, 2025 at ABP education society, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Master Aarav scored highest points and got a special mention.

4- BHOOR SINGH MEMORIAL ART COMPETITION:- Birla Public School hosted the Inter-BET Institutional Bhoor Singh Memorial Art Competition on 27th January 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM in the Middle Section building. Headmaster Mr. S.K. Baral encouraged the 97 participants from five BET schools—Birla School Pilani (Day & Residential Wings), Birla Shishu Vihar, Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Birla Public School Kishangarh, and Birla Public School Pilani. The theme, "The Fusion of Maths and Art," featured four categories: Grade III–IV created Warli art storytelling greeting cards, Grade V–VII designed Warli art spiral-patterned greeting cards, another Grade V–VII group painted mathematical designs, and the final category fused Indian folk art with Cubist Art.

5- HARVARD MODEL UNITED NATIONS, DUBAI :-Twelve students and one teacher advisor from Birla Public School participated in the Harvard Model United Nations, Dubai, from 10th to 15th January 2025, gaining valuable international exposure. Aryan Kumar, Dhariya Mangal, and Purva Kiri represented the UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development, while Giriraj Shekhawat and Hiten Sharma participated in the Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee. Lakshay Rathour and Pushkar Murarka represented the UN Economic and Financial Committee, and Manas Raj, Pranav Kr Mishra, and Yuvansh Chenka took part in UNICEF. Vasu Veena contributed to the UN Special Political and Development Committee. The conference enhanced their negotiation, public speaking, research,

writing, and problem-solving skills, making it a truly enriching experience on an international platform.

8- BPS PILANI ALUMNUS HONORED WITH ATI VISHISHT SEVA MEDAL:-Birla Public School, Pilani proudly congratulates Maj Gen Abhay Dayal, an esteemed alumnus of the 1985 batch, on receiving the prestigious Ati Vishisht Seva Medal for his exemplary service to the nation. 9-REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION AT BIRLA PUBLIC SCHOOL, PILANI:-Birla Public School, Pilani celebrated the 74th Republic Day with pride and enthusiasm. Mr. S.K. Baral, Headmaster, hoisted the national flag and delivered an inspiring speech. The event featured a disciplined march-past by all three NCC wings and the Civil Troops, showcasing their unity and dedication. The celebration reflected the spirit of patriotism and national pride.

10-DISCUSSION ON NATIONAL TOURISM DAY AND NATIONAL VOTERS DAY BY CLASS 11 HUMANITIES:On 25th January, the students of Class 11 Humanities at Birla Public School engaged in a thoughtful discussion to mark National Tourism Day and National Voters Day. The students explored the significance of tourism in India, discussing various types of tourism, the country's weak points, and the potential for improvement as a tertiary activity. They also highlighted the importance of voting in strengthening democracy, emphasizing the role of active citizen participation. The session was insightful and fostered awareness about these critical aspects of national development.

11- MARTYRS' DAY OBSERVANCE BY THE HUMANITIES DEPARTMENT:-The Humanities Department at Birla Public School observed Martyrs' Day by reflecting on the efforts and movements led by Mahatma Gandhi against British colonial rule. A presentation was made by Master Vasu, followed by a discussion where students highlighted Gandhi’s contributions, leading up to his assassination. The session provided deep insights into his role in India’s struggle for independence. The observance concluded with a two-minute silence to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation.

12- ROUND SQUARE CONFERENCE AT SCINDIA SCHOOL, GWALIOR (28TH-31ST JANUARY 2025):- Birla Public School, Pilani participated in the Round Square Conference held at Scindia School, Gwalior, from 28th to 31st January 2025. A group of students, escorted by Mrs. Neelam Mata, attended the event, including Abhay Tomar (8D, BAL - 12156), Shresth Sharma (8A, BAL - 12228), Kriyansh Agarwal (7B, SGI - 12439), Rajveer Singh (8B, SGII - 12453), and Satyam (7A, SGI - 12223). The conference offered them an excellent platform to interact with students from various schools, engage in meaningful discussions, and develop leadership skills, making it a truly enriching experience for all participants.

1- BET ENGLISH PENTANGULAR : On December 3, 2024, the BET Pentangular Literary Competition at Birla School Pilani saw impressive performances by students from BPS Middle and Junior Sections. Notable achievements included Hridaan Pathak securing third place in Extempore (Class X) and Shabd Brar and Avichal Singh Rawat winning first and third positions, respectively, in Extempore (Pentangular 1 & 2). Junior Section participants excelled in various events, with Chinmay Joshi, Rupam Chatterjee, Sanvarta, Sachit Roy, and Rudraksh earning first positions in Dictation, Poem Recitation, Role Play, Essay Writing, and more. Several others received consolation prizes for their commendable efforts.

2- KAMP EXAM :-On December 7, 2024, the KAMP (Knowledge and Awareness Mapping Program) exam, known as NASTA, was conducted by CSIR and NIScPR agencies. Sixty-eight Junior Section students participated under the supervision of an external examiner and invigilators Ms. Priyanka Tomar and Mr. Anil Jangid. The exam assessed scientific aptitude in science, mathematics, digital literacy, and EVS/social science, aiming to identify students’ potential, career interests, and essential skills for scientific and technological success.

3 - SOCIAL SCIENCE QUIZ :-Birla Public School organized a Social Science Quiz on December 12, 2024, for Classes V to VIII, featuring rounds like Multiple Choice Madness, One Shot One Answer, The Name Game, Visual Trivia, and Rapid Fire. Students from Shishu Griha 1, Shishu Griha 2, Bal, Kishore, and Kumar House participated with enthusiasm, showcasing their knowledge and analytical skills. Kishore House secured the first position with participants Vanshojjawal (Class V), Shreyash Yadav (Class VI), Atharva S Sinha, and Ranvijay Baliyan (both Class VII). Kumar House was the first runner-up, and Bal House was the second runner-up.

4- CHRISTMAS DAY CELEBRATION :-           On December 26, 2024, Birla Public School celebrated Christmas with a vibrant cultural evening filled with joy and enthusiasm. Students from all houses showcased their talents through skits, songs, dances, and instrumental music. Christmas carols filled the air as students wished each other Merry Christmas, and the exciting entry of Santa Claus added to the festive spirit. The celebration brought boundless joy to everyone, with students dancing to melodious tunes and cherishing the spirit of sharing and calumni.

5- Inter-BET Basketball Tournament 2024 :-Birla Public School Pilani triumphed at the Inter-BET Basketball Tournament held on December 4-5, 2024, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork. The Under-19 and Under-17 Boys teams emerged as champions in thrilling matches, while the Under-14 Boys and Girls teams also claimed well-deserved titles. Congratulations to the players, coaches, and supporters for this outstanding achievement, reflecting the true spirit and dedication of Team BPS!

6-GEOGRAPHY LAB:-Our students actively participated in the final session of the Round Square Geography Lab series on “Sustainable Cities,” showcasing innovative solutions for sustainable urban development. They presented a case study on Indian cities like Chandigarh and Pune, highlighting their practices, and engaged in insightful discussions with peers worldwide. Guided by Mr. Devendra Singh Rajawat and Mr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, the team of six enthusiastic students gained valuable knowledge, enhanced their research and presentation skills, and proudly represented our school.

Economics Workshop Inspires Students:- A two-day economics workshop was conducted at Birla Public School Pilani from 24^th to 25^th December, engaging Class XI and XII students in interactive learning experiences.

Renowned author Dr. Anoop Kumar Atria, known for his Economics textbooks published by Genius Publications, Jaipur, led the workshop. Through innovative activities, Dr. Atria emphasized key learning objectives, including remembering, understanding, applying concepts, analyzing, evaluating, and creating.

The workshop focused on Activity-Based Learning (ABL), encouraging students to actively participate and apply their knowledge. Individual evaluations were conducted to assess student understanding.

Principal Kajal Marwaha provided strong leadership for the workshop, while HOD Commerce Mr. Ravindra Sharma served as the convener. Other commerce department teachers also actively participated.

Students enthusiastically embraced the workshop, demonstrating a strong commitment to learning economics.

1.      EDUCATIONAL TOURS & TREKS 2024: Birla Public School Pilani organized an educational tour from October 2nd to 9th, 2024, for students in Classes V to XII across various destinations. Classes V and VI visited Udaipur, Kumbhalgarh, and Mount Abu with Ms. Neelam Mata. Classes VII and VIII groups led by Mr. Anil Jangid, Mr. Kailash Sharma, and Mr. M.M. Sharma explored Nainital, Pangot, and Jim Corbett. Class IX, with Mr. Siddharth Rai and Mr. Chandra Shekhar Sharma, toured Mcleodganj, Bir, and Dharamshala, while Class X, guided by Mr. Himanshu Kumar, visited Chandigarh, Amritsar, Dharamshala, and Dalhousie. Class XI, under Mr. Vikas Tiwari, traveled to Chandigarh, Manali, Solang, Kullu, Tirthan, and Jibhi, and Class XII, led by Mr. Manoranjan, explored Chandigarh, Shimla, Manali, Dalhousie, and Amritsar. Additionally, Mr. Anil Saini guided another group from Classes XI and XII to Chandigarh, Manali, and Shimla.

2.      CYCLE EXPEDITION: Birla Public School, Pilani organized a 13-day, 1100-km cycle expedition covering 13 districts across eastern Rajasthan from October 2nd to 14th, 2024. Sixteen students and four teachers, including one medical staff member, participated in the journey, which featured two tiger reserves of Rajasthan. The expedition route included Pilani, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Kuchaman, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Pachewar, Malpura, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Dausa, Alwar, Sariska, Kotputli, Karnaul, and concluded back in Pilani .

3.      IPSC SKATING COMPETITION: In the IPSC Skating Competition held at The Emerald Heights International School, Indore, from October 3rd to 5th, 2024, nine students from our school participated. Three students won bronze medals: Harshit Antil from Class V in the Road Race, Sheehan Vikas from Class IX in the 1000m rink race, and Ayushmaan Bansal from Class IX in both the Road Race and the 1000m rink race.

4.      IPSC BASKETBALL U-19: Birla Public School took part in the IPSC Basketball Tournament 2024-25, which was held at The Mann School in Delhi from September 25th to 29th, 2024. The team included two boys from the Middle School: Madhav Sharma and Atharv Sahu, both in Class 10.

5.      IPSC BASKETBALL U-17: Birla Public School participated in the IPSC Basketball Tournament 2024-25, held at Pestle Weed School, Dehradun, from October 3rd to 5th, 2024. The team comprised six boys from the Middle School: Vinamra Sheoran (Class 10), Aayush (Class 9), Harshit Bhutra (Class 10), Abhiraj Chahal (Class 10), Naitik Baheti (Class 10), and Harsh Kumar (Class 9).

6.      INTER HOUSE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT: The Inter House Soccer Tournament, held from October 11th to 15th, 2024, featured all five houses in an exciting league-cum-knockout format with eight matches. The final saw Guru Nanak Dev House triumph over Dayanand House in a penalty shootout, winning 3-1 after a 0-0 draw. The final house rankings were: Guru Nanak Dev House in 1st place, Dayanand House in 2nd, Vivekanand House in 3rd, Mahaveer House in 4th, and Buddha House in 5th. Individual honors went to Prakhar Singh Parihar as Emerging Player, Ojas Narayan as Best Goalkeeper, Akhil Yadav as Best Defender, Kshitiz Darshan as Best Midfielder, Arsh Aarya as Best Player, and Nikunj Malik as the Highest Scorer with six goals.

7.      INTER HOUSE HANDBALL TOURNAMENT: The Inter House Handball Tournament for the Junior Section, held from October 16th to 18th, 2024, saw enthusiastic participation from all five houses. The final standings were as follows: Kumar House secured 1st position, Kishore House came in 2nd, followed by Bal House in 3rd place. SG 2 and SG I finished in 4th and 5th positions, respectively.

8.      INTER HOUSE YOGA COMPETITION: The Inter House Yoga Competition for the Junior Section took place from October 16th to 17th, 2024, with participation from all five houses. The results were as follows: Bal House achieved 1st position, Kumar and SG 1 shared 2nd place, Kishore House took 3rd, and SG 2 finished in 4th position.

9.      INTER HOUSE BASKETBALL COMPETITION: The Inter House Basketball Competition took place from October 17th to 19th, 2024, with Dayanand House claiming the trophy. The final house positions were: Dayanand House (1st), Buddha House (2nd), Gandhi House (3rd), Vivekanand House (4th), and Mahaveer House (5th). Individual achievements included Utpal Raj from Dayanand House as the Best Shooter, Abhiraj Chahal from Gandhi House as the Best Rebounder, and Harshit Bhutra from Buddha House as the Most Valuable Player. The Emerging Player awards went to Aayush and Harsh Kumar, both from Buddha House.

10.   INTER HOUSE GROUP DANCE COMPETITION: The Inter House Group Dance Competition was held on October 21, 2024, in Vijay Hall, showcasing the talents of all five houses in the Junior Section under the theme "Incredible India Folk Dances." Each house presented a folk dance from a designated state: Shishu Griha I performed a dance from Jammu & Kashmir, Shishu Griha II represented West Bengal, Bal House highlighted Chhattisgarh, Kishore House showcased Maharashtra, and Kumar House featured Mizoram. In the Middle Section, the themes included Uttarakhand for Buddha House, Bihu (Assam) for Mahaveer House, Odisha for Dayanand House, Haryana for Guru Nanak House, and Garba (Gujarat) for Vivekanand House. For the Senior School, Kanad House represented Bihar, Panini showcased Madhya Pradesh, Vyas House highlighted Himachal Pradesh, Katyayan performed Rajasthan, and Patanjali represented Punjab. The results of the competition are still to be declared.

11.   IPSC CRICKET TOURNAMENT: Birla Public School participated in the IPSC Cricket Tournament 2024-25, held in Vallabh Ashram, Killa Pardi, District Valsad, Gujarat, from October 20th to 26th, 2024. The team included three boys from the Middle School: Md. Faiz (Mahaveer House), Shriyansh Yadav (Vivekanand House), and Abhijay Pratap (Dayanand House). The boys performed commendably, securing 2nd position in their pool and qualifying for the quarter-finals. Additionally, Md. Faiz was selected to represent the school at the SGFI Cricket Nationals.

12.   IPSC ARCHERY: Birla Public School participated in the IPSC Archery Tournament held at Mayo College, Ajmer, from October 17 to 19, 2024, competing in all three categories: U-14, U-17, and U-19. The U-19 team excelled, securing 1st position and winning the Archery Championship trophy in the recurve round, along with 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals. Master Adarsh Pratap Singh from Buddha House earned a Silver Medal in the U-19 category. Overall, the BPS team achieved a remarkable tally of 5 gold, 12 silver, and 5 bronze medals, finishing in 2nd place overall and earning the runner-up trophy. Additionally, seven boys from the BPS team qualified for the SGFI Nationals.

13.   IPSC SWIMMING: Birla Public School, Pilani, hosted the IPSC Swimming Competition from October 25 to 27, 2024. Our boys participated actively in the championship, with Master Rishabh Choudhary winning a Silver Medal in the 100m freestyle event. The championship was claimed by Modern School, Barakhamba Road, while The Emerald Heights, Indore, secured the runner-up position.

•   RS ZOOM POSTCARD ORGANIZED BY THE MARVELWOOD SCHOOL IN THE USA:- On October 15, 2024, from 07:30 PM to 08:30 PM IST, six students from Gurunank House participated in the 60-minute RS Zoom postcard organized by The Marvelwood School in the USA, focusing on "English for Beginners Language Lab." A total of 56 students from 11 schools in 6 countries joined the conference, sharing insights about themselves, their schools, and daily routines, which provided a valuable opportunity to learn about diverse practices worldwide. The BPSP participants—Prakhar Krishnatray, Abhijay Kumar, Bhavya Mittal, Aryaveer S. Bhati, Saksham Agrawal, and Ansh Kejriwal—enthusiastically discussed their hobbies and interests outside of school, including sports, singing, and dancing, making the conference an enjoyable experience for all involved.

·        RS ENGLISH FOR BEGINNERS LANGUAGE LAB THEMED "TALKING ABOUT FOOD," HOSTED BY SUNBEAM SCHOOL LAHARTARA:- On October 22, 2024, from 07:30 PM to 08:30 PM IST, six students from Dayanand House participated in the 60-minute RS English for Beginners Language Lab themed "Talking about Food," hosted by Sunbeam School Lahartara in India. The participants, including Ayaan Agrawal, Ishaan Choudhary, Vaishant Garg, Anay Keshav, Akshat Sharma, and Ivan Nyol, enjoyed an engaging session exploring various cuisines and the cultural significance of food. The discussions reflected on cultural identity, traditions, and rituals surrounding meals, fostering an awareness of food waste, the importance of organic food, and its accessibility. The participants also emphasized that sharing meals not only promotes cultural connections and builds relationships but is also seen as an act of kindness, enriching their understanding of food's role in community and culture.

·        RS POSTCARD EVENT HOSTED BY GEMS NEW MILLENNIUM SCHOOL, UAE, THEMED “GLOBAL CONNECTIVITY: On October 16, 2024, Birla Public School participated in the RS Postcard event hosted by GEMS New Millennium School, UAE, themed “Global Connectivity: Building Bridges for a Sustainable Future.” Represented by six students and guided by Mr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, the school engaged in discussions with over 150 participants from 20 schools worldwide. The session focused on the role of technology in fostering sustainability and emphasized cross-cultural collaboration. Our students showcased a poster highlighting sustainable initiatives in India and actively contributed to discussions on global cooperation and digital responsibility, concluding with reflections on the role of young leaders in creating a sustainable future.

·        VOX POP ACTIVITY ORGANIZED BY AFS:- In October 2024, five students from the junior section of our school participated in the VOX POP activity organized by AFS, where they recorded a 5-minute video capturing public opinions on gender equality. The students framed various questions to reflect diverse perspectives on the topic. The activity took place on the BITS Pilani campus and was later uploaded to our YouTube channel. Hosted by Pragnya Bodhini High School, Mumbai, this online initiative provided an engaging platform for students to explore and voice critical societal issues related to gender equality.

·        AFS ACTIVITY "TUNES TITANS :-In October 2024, the school participated in the AFS activity "TUNES TITANS," hosted by Hollotoli School. Master Lakshya Rathore recorded a solo song at the TATC, BITS-PILANI campus, showcasing his musical talent. The performance was uploaded to the designated site provided by the host school, highlighting the creativity and artistic expression of our students.

·        PARTICIPATION IN MU20 SCHOOL OF OPPORTUNITY SUMMIT:- From October 19 to 21, 2024, Birla Public School-Pilani participated in the MU20 School of Opportunity Summit hosted by The Emerald Heights International School in Indore. The event featured a range of competitions, including cultural walks, theatrics, a hackathon, debates, Josh talks, and Model United Nations (MUN), with the collaboration of AFS India and BSAI India enhancing its success. A total of 18 students from our school—12 from classes 6 to 8 and 6 from classes 9 and 10—along with two advisors, engaged in meaningful discussions aimed at empowering the next generation of leaders. Among them, 15 students participated in MUN debates across various committees, honing skills such as public speaking, writing, research, negotiation, and cultural awareness. The summit gathered over 90 schools and 3,000 students, fostering internationalism and celebrating diverse cultures.

SHIVANTA WATER PARK AND RESORT VISIT :- On September 1, 2024, junior campus students of Birla Public School, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, went to the "Shivanta Water Park and Resort." Students enjoyed water slide, swimming pool, Giant water bucket and deliciious food . The trip was primarily overseen by Mr. Anil Jangid. THE MIDTERM EXAMINATION :-

The midterm exam, which took place from September 2, 2024, to September 24, 2024.

SWACHHATA PAKHWADA: September 01, 2024–September 15, 2024 was Swachhata Pakhwada Awareness Week in our school. The students were scheduled for various activities. On September 8, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Birla Public School, Pilani, hosted a Social Service and Community Development (SSCD) program at Pilani Gaushala and Pahari Temple. 73 cadets, 3 ANOs, and 1 staff member took part in this admirable endeavor. The cadets actively engaged in various activities aimed at community welfare and service, demonstrating their commitment to social responsibility. The children were administered the oath of cleanliness by school principal Mrs. Kajal Marwaha during a special assembly held in Vijay Hall on September 9, 2024.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION: Teachers Day was observed on September 5, 2024, at Birla Public School (Middle Section). As acting teachers today, the pupils played the part of teachers. During the morning assembly, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan was honored with flowers by acting teachers and their teachers. After interval, the kids of each house conducted a colourful programme in the honour of instructors.

BET INTER SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT : From September 06–08, 2024, at BPS, Kishangarh, our school (BPSP) took part in the BET Inter School Volleyball Tournament. After defeating Birla School Pilani 2-0, our school was able to claim first place.

FRIENDLY MATCH BETWEEN COMBINED BET SCHOOLS V/S BITS PILANI:- On September 6, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., a friendly football match between BITS Pilani and the combined BET schools was scheduled to take place in Sishu Vihar. Our boys took part in this. The team from BITS won 4-0.

HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATION: On September 14, 2024, at 7:30 am, the Vijay Auditorium of Birla Public School Pilani hosted a boisterous Hindi Diwas program. The entire morning prayer meeting this morning was held in Hindi. The school prayer, Omkar's sound, and the first few words of Bharatendu Harishchandra's song "Nij Bhasha Unnati Ahe" were played as the pupils began the event. Thereafter, Shreyas Yadav, a student of the junior class, offered a good thought. Master Prathamesh Kumar and Dev Soriya, two student speakers, then gave a research-based speech on the significance and use of Hindi. The junior class students performed the poem "Ek Boond" in unison. Following this, the 15th Integrated Inter-House Poetry Recitation Competition was held. There were student participants. The head of the school's Sanskrit-Hindi department, Mr. Atul Kumar Mishra, delivered a speech discussing the evolution and international adoption of Hindi. Following that, the students swore to uphold the dignity of Hindi and implement it. In her remarks, the major guest, Mrs. Kajal Marwah, the principal of the school, read a poem praising Hindi and revealed the winners of the poetry recitation contest. It was Nityam Sharma who conducted the program. According to Atul Kumar Mishra, the coordinator of the program, Patanjali House placed first in the poetry recitation competition, followed by Panini House in second place and Vyas and Katyayan House in third. Individually, Chaitanya Joshi and Chaitanya Veer Singh Rathore took first place

IPSC YOGA COMPETITION: The IPSC Yoga Competition at Mayo College, Ajmer, was attended by our School Yoga team from 9th to 11th September 2024. Our students demonstrated their talent and dedication by competing in two categories: Under-14 and Under-17. Their accomplishments comprise: Securing the 3rd position in the Under-14 Traditional Yoga Competition. Attaining the 2nd position in the Under-17 Traditional Yoga Competition. Additionally, one student has been selected for the SGFI National Championship.

HANDBALL TOURNAMENT CBSE WEST ZONE : Birla Public School took part in the Handball Tournament CBSE West Zone held in Guna (MP). Our school team achieved the 1st position out of 51 schools from RAJASTHAN, MADHYA PRADESH & GUJRAT in the tournament. Additionally, the entire team has been chosen for the CBSE nationals. WORKSHOP ON CAREER IN HOSPITALITY SECTOR : A session regarding the aforementioned subject took place on September 27, 2024, led by Dr. Zubin D’souza, who serves as the Dean at the Indian School of Hospitality, Gurgaon, and Ms. Ekta Ahuja, the Regional Manager (ISH) at Vidya Niketan Birla Public School, Pilani. The event was held in Vijay Hall, during which they motivated our students to consider pursuing careers in Hospitality Management.

INTER HOUSE VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT: The Volleyball Finals took place on September 28, 2024, with VH and GH houses competing. MH emerged victorious and claimed the championship title. The event was honored by the presence of Head Master Mr. S.K. Baral. The rankings by house are as follows: VH secured the 1st position, GH came in 2nd, BH claimed the 3rd position, DH attained the 4th position, and MH finished in 5th place.

School Annual Magazine Cover Design Competition: The Middle Section Library organized the School Annual Magazine Cover Design Competition for students in classes IX and X. In this activity, 13 students from class X and 15 students from class IX took part. The students were judged by Mr. Himanshu Kumar, Mr. Mukesh Zile Singh, and Mrs. Shephali Sharma.   GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION IN BPS:   Ganesh Chaturthi was observed on the Birla Public School, Pilani campus from September 7 to September 14. Pandit Sudarshan Sharma enshrined Lord Ganesha's idol in our school temple to begin the celebrations. The event was graced by our fervent students, Mrs. Kajal Marwaha, our principal, Mr. Mahesh Chandra Pandey, the bursar, Dr. Jitesh Bishnoi, and Mr. Ravindra Sharma. Five students from each home went to the temple every morning and evening to worship Lord Ganesha.

INTER HOUSE VOLLEYBALL COMPETITION :- A junior section interhouse volleyball tournament was held from September 25, 2024, to September 28, 2024. Every one of the junior section's five houses took part in the competition. The following are the positions by house: - Kishore House first Second: The Kumar residence Third: The Bal House VISIT TO CANNUGHT PLACE BITS CAMPUS :- A visit to the campus of CANNUGHT PLACE BITS: Junior campus students visited Cannaught Place on the BITS campus on September 25. Total 210 students went along with Teachers of their respective houses just after the Mid Term Exam was over. These outings are planned to improve confidence, foster personal development, and foster social interactions. Along with getting to eat a variety of snacks, students also get to practice sharing and working together.

  OSCAR WINNING MOVIES SCREENED FOR STUDENTS :- Students watched two Oscar-winning films on September 25 in Vijay Hall. Wonder and Elephant Whisperers. The students were at ease and delighted with both films. These films raise students' awareness and motivate them to make goals in life. They can improve their creative abilities and communication skills.

  WALL PAINTING COMPETITION : A wall painting competition was held by our school from September 28, 2024, to September 30, 2024. which saw the participation of 25 middle section students. Result awaited.

IPSC FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT U-19 : Under the leadership of Master Chera Karlin (XII PAT) and Vikrant Chhikara (XII PAT), our school's U-19 soccer team competed in the IPSC Football Tournament, which took place at The Emerald Heights International School Indore from September 22 to September 29, 2009. Our team participated in three league games and won all of them (beating PPS Nabha by a score of 03-00, LK Singhania Goten School by a score of 07-01, and RKC Rajkot by a score of 01-00). As pool winners, we advanced to the quarterfinals. We were defeated by MNSS Rai, Sonipat, 00-01, in the quarterfinal.

  EMERGENCY EVACUATION DRILL: A practice emergency evacuation was held in Middle Section on September 09, 2024 at 10:50 a.m. Every student was ordered out of their homes and gathered on their individual house lawns as soon as the siren went off.

IPSC DANCE FEST 2024 SCINDIA KANYA VIDYALAYA : 

Ten students from Birla Public School, Pilani participated in the IPSC Dance Festival 2024 held at Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya from July 29 to July 31, 2024. During the festival, our students showcased a diverse range of dance forms, including Bharatanatyam, Folk Dance, Contemporary Chau Dance, Western Dance, and Kathak. They were honored in the name of the renowned dancer Birju Maharaj. Among the participants, three students from the Middle Section took part in the event: Prithvish Kumar (VH 12335), Madhav Sharma (VH 12736), and Pratham Biyani (DH 12273). Their performances were a testament to their dedication and the school's commitment to excellence in the arts.

PAHARI VISIT ( MIDDLE SECTION):

On August 7, 2024, all Middle Section students visited the Pahari Temple for a holy darshan of Lord Hanuman. After the first period, they changed into their games kits and, after a roll call supervised by teachers, left for the temple house-wise. They arrived within half an hour, climbed the temple steps with their teachers, offered prayers, and took photographs. The tiffin vehicle arrived, and Honourable Headmaster Mr. S.K. Baral also visited. The students enjoyed refreshments and games before assembling for a final roll call. They returned to school by 12:15 p.m., having enjoyed a spiritually enriching experience.

INTER-HOUSE SANSKRIT SHLOKA RECITATION COMPETITION 2024-25

On August 10, 2024, the Sanskrit Department of Vidya Niketan Birla Public School,  Pilani, held an Inter-House Sanskrit Shloka Recitation Competition. Two students from each house in the Senior, Middle, and Junior sections participated. Junior students from Classes VII, VIII, and IX recited shlokas such as 'Shiva Shadakshara Stotra' and 'Sri Ganga Stotra', while Senior students from Classes X, XI, and XII performed 'Sri Shiva Mahimna Stotra' and 'Ganga Lahari'. The shlokas were chosen based on the students' levels, and their performances were captivating. The Principal, Mrs. Kajal Marwaha, and Headmaster, Mr. S.K. Baral, were present and praised the high standard of the competition.

INTER-HOUSE SANSKRIT SHLOK COMPETITION :-                        

An Inter-House Sanskrit Shlok Competition for the session 2024-25 was conducted on 10th August 2024 in the Montessori Hall. The competition saw participation from one student each from Class 7 and Class 8 from each house. Ms. Meenakshi Gour, Headmistress of BPS Jr. Sec, served as the chairperson, with Ms. Preeti Sharma and Mr. Laxmi Shankar Mishra as judges. Mr. Kailash Sharma was the in-charge of the event. The results of the competition are as follows: the I Position was secured by KISHORE & KUMAR, the II Position by SHISHU GRIHA II, and the III Position by BAL HOUSE & SHISHU GRIHA I. For individual positions, the I Position was awarded to KARANI SINGH RATHORE (KISH), the II Position was shared by SOURABH KUMAR (SGII) and RAGHAV RUNGTA (KUM), and the III Position was secured by AGAM JAIN (BAL).

BET INTER SCHOOL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2024-25 (U-19):

Our Senior football team, captained by Master Chera Karlin and Master Vikrant Chhikara from Class XII, participated in the Inter-BET Football Tournament hosted at BSV from August 9 to 10, 2024. The team advanced to the finals after winning all league matches: 5-0 against BSV, 4-1 against BSP, and 3-0 against BPSK. In the finals, BPS defeated BSP 4-1, securing the championship for 2024-2025, marking a hat-trick victory. Master Mohit Kumar was named Best Defender, Master Sumit Rana Best Midfielder, and Master Aman Chhikara Best Player with 5 goals. The team, which included five Middle Section players—Kshitiz (DH), Haridhan Pathak (VH), Aryan Agarwal (GH), Rohit Singh (MH), and Arsh Aarya (GH)—delivered outstanding performances throughout the tournament.

BET INTER SCHOOL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2024-25 (U-17):

Our junior football team, captained by Master Nikunj Malik and Master Prakhar Singh Parihar from Class IX, participated in the Inter-BET Inter-School Football Tournament at Birla School Pilani from August 11 to 13, 2024. The team reached the finals after winning their league matches against BSV (3-1) and BSP (2-0). In the finals, BPS secured the championship for 2024-2025 by defeating BSP 4-2 in a penalty shootout following a draw. Master Nikunj Malik was named Best Player with 3 goals. The team’s impressive performance was marked by outstanding effort throughout the tournament, with members including Abhishek Panjiyar, Tejashv Gupta, Krishna Purwar, Padmesh Yadav, Tejashwa Singh, Anay Yadav, Prince Kumar, Priyanshu, Akshat Sharma, Swamai Jamatia, Prakhar S. Parihar, Tejas Pratap Yadav, Yug Jain, Aditya, and Swaraj Kukedia.

CYCLING TRIP AND VISIT TO KRISHI VIGYAN KENDRA

Eighteen enthusiastic Middle Section students recently embarked on an adventurous 30 km cycling trip to the tranquil government forest area of Chandgothi village. Their visit included exploring a serene hermitage and the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, where they gained valuable insights into rural life and sustainable agriculture. In addition to the educational experience, the students actively participated in a cleanliness drive around the hermitage and KVK, showcasing their commitment to community service. This trip provided not only a chance for physical exercise but also a meaningful lesson in environmental stewardship and rural development.

INTER INSTITUTIONAL  PATRIOTIC  SONG  COMPETITION

Birla Public School Pilani hosted the BET Inter-School Patriotic Song Competition in the Vijay Auditorium on August 12, 2024. Organized under the auspices of the Birla Education Trust, the event featured Major General S.S. Nair (AVSM), Director of BET Pilani, as the chief guest. Celebrating over six decades of tradition, the competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from all six BET schools. In the junior category, BPS Pilani excelled by securing first place in the regional language competition. The event was a resounding success, with students delivering captivating performances that highlighted their talent and patriotism.

O NLINE PTM FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL:

Birla Public School conducted online PTM on Aug 17, 2024 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Teachers informed about the marks of Pre-Mid Term Exam and overall performance of their ward to the parents.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride at Birla Public School, Pilani. The entire school community—students, staff, and faculty—came together to honor the heroes who fought for our freedom. As part of the festivities, the school organized an NCC Cadets Rally themed "Har Ghar Tiranga" and a Tree Plantation drive. The rally, featuring 103 NCC Cadets, 3 ANOs, and 8 staff members, started from the BPS campus and proceeded to Bhagat Singh Circle. This event not only fostered a strong sense of patriotism but also highlighted the importance of environmental conservation. The cadets' dedication to their country and the environment made the celebration both memorable and impactful.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY AS GOOGLE VICE PRESIDENT DR. PEEYUSH RANJAN WAS CHIEF GUEST:

 

Birla Public School, Pilani had the distinct pleasure of hosting Dr. Peeyush Ranjan, Vice President at Google and a distinguished alumnus from the 1991 batch. Dr. Ranjan, accompanied by his family, revisited the school, reliving cherished memories and inspiring our students during a special morning assembly. He was warmly welcomed and honored by Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwah and Headmaster Sushant Kumar Baral. In his address, Dr. Ranjan emphasized the importance of hard work, curiosity, and innovation, urging students to cultivate independent and creative thinking. His visit was a proud moment for the entire BPS community, reflecting his significant contributions to technology and AI on a global scale.

RAKSHABANDHAN CELEBRATION: -

Rakshabandhan was celebrated on 19th August 2024 in the Montessori Hall with a vibrant and heartfelt program. The event began with a traditional Pooja, setting the tone for the festivities. Students and staff of Birla Public School Jr. Campus came together to mark this special occasion, with teachers tying Rakhi to all the students. Mr. Kailash Sharma and Mr. Dileep Pandey delivered insightful talks on the ‘Importance of Rakshabandhan,’ highlighting the festival's significance. Ms. Aditi Chaudhary, Academic Coordinator of Birla Public School Jr. Sec, addressed the students, offering her blessings and well-wishes. The celebration concluded with the joyous distribution of sweets. The event was efficiently managed by Mr. Madan Murari Sharma, who ensured its smooth execution.

MAYO COLLEGE BASKET BALL TOURNAMENT:-

Twelve students from Birla Public School participated in the Mayo College Basketball Tournament. Among them, four boys from the Middle Section were key players on the team. The tournament provided a valuable opportunity for our students to showcase their skills and compete at a high level. The team's participation was a testament to their dedication and hard work in the sport. Their involvement in the tournament also highlighted the school's commitment to providing diverse and enriching extracurricular experiences for its students.

INTER HOUSE IT QUIZ COMPETITION :

The Inter-House IT Quiz Competition 2024-25 took place in Vijay Hall at 7:30 am on August 17, 2024, and was a thrilling display of intellect and expertise. Students from classes 9 to 12, representing five different houses, competed under the expert supervision of Quiz Coordinator Mr. Davendra Gupta. The event featured a series of rigorous rounds designed to challenge participants' knowledge across various information technology domains. The competition was marked by intense rivalries, with each team showcasing impressive skills and quick thinking. The high-energy atmosphere underscored the event's celebration of teamwork, intellectual prowess, and technological acumen.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON NATIONAL SPACE DAY (MIDDLE SECTION):

On August 23, 2024, a special assembly was held in the Middle Section to celebrate National Space Day. The HMOD house presented a compelling PPT titled “A Tribute to India's Monumental Achievement of Landing on the Moon,” highlighting the historic success of Chandrayaan-3's lunar mission. This achievement has captivated millions worldwide and serves as an inspiration for the future. At Birla Public School Pilani, we are nurturing a generation of students eager to explore the wonders of space and reach for the stars. The assembly emphasized the importance of supporting ISRO's groundbreaking work and encouraging students to pursue careers in science and technology.

JANAMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONS

The joyous festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with immense fervour and devotion at Birla Public School, Pilani. The entire school community came together to honour the birth of Lord Krishna through a series of vibrant activities, including devotional songs, dances, and a reenactment of the Ras Leela. The campus was adorned with beautiful decorations, enhancing the divine ambiance of the occasion. A major highlight was the traditional Dahi Handi, where students eagerly participated, demonstrating their teamwork and enthusiasm. This celebration not only deepened the connection to cultural traditions but also fostered a strong sense of devotion and community spirit among the students.

INTER SCHOOL SANSKRIT SCHLOKA COMPETITION:

 

On August 23, 2024, Birla Public School Pilani held an inter-school Sanskrit shloka recitation competition at 10:30 AM. Major General S.S. Nair (AVSM), Director of Birla Education Trust Pilani, was the Chief Guest, and Dr. Chand Kiran Saluja, Educational Director of Sanskrit Promotion Institute, was the President. The event, organized by Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwah, saw participation from eighteen schools with thirty-six contestants in junior and senior categories. Judges included Dr. Ram Vinay Singh and Dr. Promod Bharatiya. In the junior category, Birla Shishu Vihar won first place, and Eshan Chaudhary from Birla Public School secured second. In the senior category, Ankit Baloda from Birla Shishu Vihar took first place, with Vinayak Singh from Birla Public School earning second. Student captain Avichal Singh Rawat gave the vote of thanks, and the event was managed by Manan Goyal and Prince Kumar, with support from Shri Kailash Sharma and others.

ONE DAY OUTING FOR MIDDLE AT SHIVANTA WATER PARK:

On August 30th, our students enjoyed a fantastic day at Shivanta Resort, filled with swimming, dancing, and a delicious lunch of kadhai paneer, mushroom matar, and dal fry. The well-organized trip, attended by 128 students, began with their departure from school at 9:00 AM, followed by a fun-filled day at the resort until their return at 3:00 PM. The senior section had a similar enjoyable experience on August 25th.

ROUND SQUARE CONFERENCE AT SUNBEAM SCHOOL SUNCITY, VARANASI

From August 7 to 11, 2024, five students and one adult delegate from Birla Public School Pilani participated in a transformative Round Square Conference at Sunbeam School Suncity, Varanasi. Themed "Connect to Conserve," this event brought together 26 schools from India and abroad. The conference featured a range of enriching activities, emphasizing the preservation of traditional weaving, art, and culture of Varanasi. Delegates were immersed in diverse cultural experiences, deepening their understanding of the importance of conserving cultural heritage. The thoughtfully curated activities and goodies made the conference a memorable and impactful experience.

SOCCER TEAM'S PERFORMANCE AT MAYO COLLEGE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

From August 27 to 31, 2024, our U-19 soccer team, led by captains Master Chera Karlin and Master Mohit Kumar, participated in the Mayo College Football Tournament held at Mayo College, Ajmer. The team excelled in the league stage, winning two matches—against Genesis Noida (2-0) and Harrow International School Bengaluru (6-1)—and securing a draw with Pathways School Aravalli (0-0). This strong performance earned them a place in the quarter-finals. Although they were narrowly defeated by Mayo College (0-2) in the quarter-finals, our team demonstrated exceptional skill and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

INTER BET SWIMMING COMPETITION:- Our talented swimmers made a remarkable impact at the Inter BET Swimming Competition hosted by Birla School Pilani! Despite fierce competition, our athletes demonstrated exceptional dedication, skill, and sportsmanship.

We are thrilled to announce that our school secured the overall runners-up position, winning 3 gold, 38 silver, and 25 bronze medals. This outstanding achievement reflects the hard work and commitment of both our swimmers and their coaches.

Montessori Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Birla Public School, Junior Section, on 30 August, honoring the legacy of Madam María Montessori, who founded Vidya Niketan and designed the Montessori Hall in 1944. The event featured Major General S. S. Nair, BET Director, as the chief guest. School Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwah welcomed the chief guest, dignitaries, and esteemed parents. A large number of parents attended and appreciated the efforts of students and teachers. The cultural program included a range of performances: an Invocation, Ganesha dance, Folk dance, speech, nukkad natak, Sanskrit group song, and Shiv Stuti indoors, while the outdoor activities featured Yoga, Skating, Karate, and a Science, Maths, and Art Exhibition. On September 1st, Birla Public School Pilani had the privilege of hosting Mr. Kiran Kurwade, a renowned Gallup Global Strength Coach and Director of the Office of Strategic Initiatives at Chitkara University, Chandigarh. Mr. Kurwade conducted an engaging session for our Class 12 students, focusing on crucial topics such as the SWOT analysis of Gen Z, careers and lifestyle preferences, professional skills in the AI era, and the development of IQ, EQ, SO, and PQ. His expertise provided invaluable insights into the modern educational landscape, equipping our students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in an evolving world.

1.Europe Soccer Training Camp and United World Games 2024

From June 16 to 24, 2024, Birla Public School students embarked on an unforgettable European journey. They participated in an intensive soccer camp at the Deutsche Football Internat Academy (DFI) in Germany, followed by competing in the prestigious United World Games (UWG) in Austria.

2.Dronninglund Cup Handball Tournament, Denmark:-

Sixteen talented students from Birla Public School, escorted by Chief Coach Mr. Sukhpal Tanwar and Assistant Coach Mr. Rasvir Singh, embarked on a 21-day European handball tour. They competed in the Handball Days Lübeck Tournament in Germany (June 27-30), reaching the U-17 quarterfinals, advanced to the pre-quarterfinals in the Partille World Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden (July 2-7), and delivered an outstanding performance at the Dronninglund Cup in Denmark (July 7-11). The tour also included cultural visits to local attractions, a Gurudwara in Sweden, and a mandir in Copenhagen, providing valuable lessons in teamwork, sportsmanship, and adaptability.

3.NCC Air Wing CATC Camp 2024

From July 9 to 18, 2024, thirty cadets from Birla Public School Pilani's NCC Air Wing Junior Division, led by ANO T/O Chandra Shekhar Sharma, attended the CATC Camp at Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur. Among 584 cadets from across Rajasthan, BPS cadets actively participated in parades and various activities, securing runners-up trophies in volleyball and tug of war, with Ojas Narayan placing third in the debate competition. The camp included sessions on cyber security, fire safety, and traffic safety, highlighted by an address from IAS officer Mr. Shubham Jain and motivational talks by DDG NCC Air COMD. Satyandra Sharma. Classes on aircraft models, rifles, and disaster management were also held. The camp instilled values of unity, discipline, patriotism, and endurance in the cadets.

4.Inter-House English Extempore Competition

On July 13, 2024, Birla Public School, Pilani, hosted an Inter-House English Extempore Competition for Classes 9-12. Each participant spoke on a given topic for two minutes. Judges Ms. Varsha Ratta, Ms. Aparupa Chakraborti Paul, and Mr. Himanshu Kumar evaluated the performances.

Katyayan House secured first place, Kanad House second, and Vyas House third. Best Speaker awards went to Raunak Somani (Class IX), Vinrama Sheorayan (Class X), Meet Raj (Class XI), and Shabd Brar (Class XII). The event highlighted the students' eloquence and quick thinking.

5.Inter-House English Extempore Competition 2024-25:- The Inter-House English Extempore Competition for the session 2024-25 was held on July 13, 2024, at Birla Public School, Pilani. The event was organized in two rounds. The first round took place on July 10-11, 2024, where English teachers conducted class-wise competitions to select participants for the final round. The selected students then competed in the final round held in Montessori Hall, where they picked topics 10 minutes before speaking for a maximum of 2 minutes.

In the final round, Kumar House secured the first position, Shishu Griha I came second, and Shishu Griha II took third place. Among individual participants, Tanmay Sigar (VIII D) won the first position, Sanav Charan (VI B) secured second place, and Utkarsh Jha (VII B) came third. Special consolation prizes were awarded to Harshit Antil (V) and Arjav Jain (V). Ms. Aditi Choudhary was the in-charge of the event.

6. University Application Process Session at BPS Pilani

Class 11 and 12 students had an enriching 1.5-hour session with representatives from the University of Connecticut, UC Irvine, and the University of Rochester. They covered application reviews, recommendation letters, scholarships, and timelines. Special thanks to speakers Ms. Jamila Shaikh, Ms. Harriet Coutinho, and Ms. Afshana P. Hoque, and to Mr. Anil Saini, Ms. Varsha Ratta, Dr. Jitesh Bishnoi, Mr. Rajawat, Mr. Rahul, Mr. Manoranjan Kumar, and Mr. Alok Marwal for their support. Our students are now better equipped for their higher education journeys.

7.Higher Education Abroad Session by Masterclass Space:- On July 23, 2024, Aditya Shanker, CEO of Masterclass Space, delivered an insightful session at Birla Public School, Pilani, focusing on higher education abroad. He emphasized the significance of the SAT for top US university admissions, the benefits of Advanced Placement (AP) courses for boosting profiles and shortening graduation times, and the importance of profile building, extracurriculars, and leadership skills in US applications. Additionally, he provided guidance on writing essays and Letters of Recommendation (LOR) and highlighted Masterclass Space’s successful BITSAT Test Series and Crash Course, noting their strong results over the past four years.

Inter-House Solo Singing Competition :- On July 20, 2024, the Inter-House Solo Singing Competition for the 2024-25 session was held in the Montessori Hall. The event featured two rounds: one with patriotic songs and the other with karaoke selections, with each house sending 3-6 participants. Judged by Mr. K.K. Sirothiya, Mr. Ravi Verma, and Mrs. Preeti Sharma, BAL House secured the first position, followed by KISHORE House in second and KUMAR House in third. Individual awards for the best singer in Round I went to Harshit Shrivastava (KUM) first, Vishwaraj Singh (SGII) second, and Agam Jain (BAL) third. In Round II, Navtesh Choudhary took first place, Hitesh Bhati second, and Arham Jain third. Dr. Vijaylaxmi Choudhary was the in-charge of the event.

9.IPSC Drama Fest :- Birla Public School's student team won the Special Mention Award at the IPSC Drama Fest, held from July 18 to 21 at The Sanskaar Valley School, Bhopal. The 10-member team, guided by Mr. Atul Kumar Mishra and Mr. Sarvesh Kumar, impressed with their performance of the comedy play "Bholaram Ka Jeev" and Amrit Anand’s soliloquy as Chanakya. They also excelled in the "Bunker" event. Congratulations to Yash Chouksey, Shabd Barar, Amrit Anand, Krish Sel, Nimit Choudhary, Ashish Agarwal, Kushank, Tanish Garodia, Likhit Poddar, and Divyansh Pratap Singh.

10.Report on IPSC Dance Fest '24

From July 29 to 31, 2024, a group of 10 students from Birla Public School participated in the IPSC Dance Fest '24 at Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior. Under the supervision of Coordinator Dr. Antara Banerjee and dance teacher Mr. Ravi Verma, the performers delivered captivating performances that earned them standing ovations from the audience. The participants included Aryan Kaila, Dev Soriya, Utkarsh Raj, Yuvansh Chenka, Shourya Jain, Rudra Pratap, Gairik Sharma, Prthivish Kumar, Pratham Bihani, and Madhav Sharma.

11.BET Pentangular

On July 27, 2024, the BET Pentangular Competition and English Pentangular event were held at Birla Balika Vidyapeeth. In the BET Pentangular, 35 Junior Section students participated in various categories. Notable achievements included Anubhav Lodha securing the second position in Storytelling, Chaitanya Prakash receiving third place in Dictation, Pushkar Rai and Samarth earning consolation prizes in Extempore and Essay Writing, respectively.

In the English Pentangular, 20 students from Classes IX and X competed. From Class IX, Ansh Kashyap won first place in Essay Writing, Harshvardhan Singh Bhati secured second, and Dhruv Singh Bisht and Arya Kumar Ray received consolation prizes. Nikunj Malik also received a consolation prize in Extempore. In Class X, Bhavyeshwar Singh achieved second place in Role Play and a consolation prize in Essay Writing, while Shaswat Gupta earned second place in Role Play.

                  

12. Book Fair 2024-2025 Report

The Book Fair 2024-2025 at Birla Public School Pilani was a tremendous success across all sections. For the Junior Section, the fair was held on July 28, 2024, inaugurated by Headmistress Mrs. Meenakshi Gaur, offering a diverse range of books including fiction, mythology, biographies, and motivational titles. Students participated enthusiastically and the event was well-supported by House Masters and Assistant House Masters. The Middle Section's Book Fair on July 21, 2024, featured a rich collection of genres and was held in the Badminton Court, with Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwaha and Bursar Mr. Mahesh C Pandey playing key roles in its organization. The Senior Section's fair on July 14, 2024, at Vijay Hall, was inaugurated by Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwaha and featured a wide range of books facilitated by Rathi’s Media Centre. The fair was a hit among students and teachers, encouraging a love for reading and receiving positive feedback. The success of these events underscores the school’s commitment to promoting reading habits and educational engagement.

 13. NCC Activities on Kargil Vijay Diwas

On July 25, 2024, NCC cadets and ANOs from Birla Public School, Pilani, organized a tree plantation drive at the obstacle ground, involving 200 students from the NCC, Social Service, and Gardening clubs. The event, held to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas, also included poster making and PPT presentations to educate students about the Kargil War, its heroes, and its significance. The activities fostered environmental awareness and deepened understanding of national history.

 14.Monthly Library Activity :- In July, the library activity involved a creative group project titled "Book Define on Chart Paper." Students were divided into groups by class and chose a book to read. At the end of the month, each group presented their book on chart paper, showcasing their creativity through detailed illustrations and explanations. The activity saw enthusiastic participation from students, who demonstrated impressive creativity and engagement. Their efforts were commendable, highlighting their understanding of the books and their ability to creatively convey their insights.

15.Inter-House Bhajan (Group Song) Competition

On July 20, 2024, the Inter-House Bhajan (Group Song) Competition for the Middle and Senior Sections was held in Vijay Hall. Each house, with 10 participants, showcased their musical talents, resulting in Guru Nanak and Panini Houses securing the first position, followed by Vivekananda and Kanad Houses in second, and Dayanand and Vyas Houses in third. Mahavir and Patanjali Houses took fourth, and Buddha and Katyayan Houses placed fifth. The event was judged by Dr. Shefali Sharma and Dr. Vijaylaxmi.

16.Inter-House Swimming Competition

The Inter-House Swimming Competition, held from July 25 to July 29, 2024, was a highly successful event with Honourable Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwaha as the chief guest for the finals. Praising the hard work of students and the Sports Department, Mrs. Marwaha highlighted the tournament's well-organized nature. In the individual category, Sarthak was crowned Junior Section Champion, Rishabh Kumar excelled in the Middle Section, and Mr. Harit from Panini House emerged as the top performer. The Champion Houses were Kumar House in the Junior Section with 61 points, Guru Nanak House in the Middle Section with 72 points, and Panini House in the Senior Section with 93 points.

17.Cycle Trip and Farm Visit

On July 20, 2024, 22 students from all three wings of Birla Public School, Pilani, enjoyed a 20 km cycling trip to Thripali village. The journey, starting at 8:30 AM and returning by 1:15 PM, offered an engaging exploration of modern irrigation, organic farming, and protected farming techniques. The trip combined valuable learning about sustainable agriculture with physical exercise and teamwork, providing a memorable and educational experience for all participants.

18.Report on Round Square Zoom Postcard (17 July 2024)

On July 17, 2024, students from grades VII and VIII—Raghav Rungta, Devansh Nigam, Aarav Agarwal, Bhavya Jain, Samrtha Goyal, and Utkarsh Jha—along with Teacher I/C Ms. Narottama Sharma, participated in a 90-minute RS Zoom Postcard hosted by Emrald Heights International School. The theme, "DREAMS: While We Are Awake vs. While We Are Asleep," involved 120 students from 15 schools across India and the UAE. The session explored diverse perspectives on dreams, including concepts like Swapna, Aakansha, Tammna, Diwaswapna, and Lakshya. Our students shared their personal dreams, strategies for achieving them, and engaged with other participants' ideas and experiences.

 19.Students Attend RS Zoom Conference on Environmental Sustainability

On July 24, 2024, six students from Buddha House participated in a 60-minute RS Zoom conference hosted by St. Andrew College, South Africa. The session, held from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM, focused on "The Sustainability of Environment." The students—Aditya Mishra, Ridham Agarwal, Abhinav Singh, Yash Godara, Vaibhav Cally, and Divyansh Goyal—shared insights on eco-friendly practices including tree plantation, food waste reduction, rainwater harvesting, and creating plastic-free zones.

1.Faculty Development Program:-

The Faculty Development Program (FDP) was organized by Birla Education Trust (BET), Pilani.

The program aimed to enhance teaching skills, technology integration, and student-centric approaches.

Around 400 teachers from BET schools participated in the 4-day program.

Expert resource persons led sessions on Generative AI, technology integration, and more.

The program had four modules, including collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Participants' teaching skills and confidence improved significantly.

Technology integration in classrooms was enhanced.

Student-centric approaches were adopted more widely.

Teachers appreciated the program's relevance and impact.

The program demonstrated BET's commitment to educational excellence and teacher development.

2.Birla Public School's European journey:

Birla Public School's soccer team embarked on a European adventure.

They attended a soccer camp at Deutsche Football Internat Academy in Germany.

The team trained intensively and immersed themselves in German culture.

They then participated in the United World Games in Austria.

The team faced challenges but showed resilience and determination.

They secured a thrilling victory against an Austrian team.

The team explored Klagenfurt's city center and experienced local hospitality.

They reflected on their journey and the values they learned.

The trip fostered lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories.

The team returned home with new skills, experiences, and a broader perspective.

3 RS Zoom postcard by St. Stithian’s Girls’ College in the UK, RS Zoom postcard by Colegio Gran Bretaña in Colombia on “The Cold War” and RS History Lab.:-

 Six students from Vivekananda House took part in a 90-minute RS Zoom postcard by St. Stithian’s Girls’ College in the UK on the theme of “Colonialism” on Thursday 23rd  May at 8:30 p.m. IST. The 120 students from 24 schools in 11 countries interacted about the colonial period, its advantages and disadvantages.

 

The same group also took part in another 90-minute RS Zoom postcard by Colegio Gran Bretaña in Colombia on “The Cold War”  on Thursday 30th May at 8:30 p.m. IST. The 140 students from 25 schools in 10 countries discussed the Cold War and its impact on their part of the world

Both the meetings were part of the “History Lab” series.

The colonial jolt transformed our national movement, education system, political system, parliamentary and judicial systems, constitution, traffic rules, police, and, in general, the entire political framework.

 Soldiers of the Soviet Union and the United States did not do battle directly during the Cold War. But the two superpowers continually antagonized each other through political maneuvering, military coalitions, espionage, propaganda, arms buildups, economic aid, and proxy wars between other nations.

The students put up excellent research work and participated enthusiastically.

 

 

 

May 2024  

 

IPSC CRICKET TOURNAMENT :  Our School participated in IPSC under 17 Cricket Tournament. Total 18 teams participated in the event. We went there on 25 ^th  Apirl and returned on May 01, 2024. Our team played 2 matches and we did not qualified for the same.

  INTER-SCHOOL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT: "Birla Public School Pilani emerged as the champion in the Inter-School Football Tournament organized by Dalmia School Chirawa to mark their centenary celebrations. Total 16 teams participated in the event.  Our team defeated the host school 3-0 in the finals. Mr. Vikas Dhendwal, DSP Chirawa, was chief guest, and Mrs. Kajal Marwaha, Principal of Birla Public School, was guest of honor.

 

IPSC SOCCER TOURNAMENT:  Our school U-14 Soccer team participated in all India IPSC Soccer tournament under the captaincy of Master Animesh (Class 8th) and Master Aditya Singh (Class 9th) which was held at The BK Birla Centre for Education Pune, from 06/05/24 to 11/05/24. Our team played three league matches in which lost two matches ( with TNA  SIKKIM 02 & HPS 01) and draw with YPS Patiala (02-02) and not qualified for quarter final matches. All the students played with full efforts and gave best.

 

Investiture ceremony of students in Birla Public School, Pilani

The investiture ceremony at Birla Public School, Pilani, took place at 8:30 am in the Vijay Auditorium, with Major General S.S. Nair (AVSM) as the chief guest and alumnus Shri Madhav Gupta as the special guest. Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwah welcomed the guests, and the new student leaders, including School Captain Avichal Singh Rawat, were decorated. The chief guest administered the oath to the students, emphasizing responsibility and adherence to school rules. The special guest shared insights on preparing for Administrative Services. The ceremony concluded with a silent prayer.

INTERACTIVE SESSION :-On May 7, 2024, students from King Mongkut Institute of Technology, Thailand, and CYTECH College, France, visited Birla Public School for an interactive session with Class XI and XII students. They presented their research projects and were welcomed with a Gujrati folk song and a cultural presentation by BPS students. The event was attended by Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwaha, Dr. Sonam Mittal, Mr. Reetesh Gautam, and Mr. Gaurav Sahu. Afterwards, BPS students gave the international delegates a campus tour.

FINANCIAL MARKETING MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP :- On May 9, 2024, CBSE and NSE Academy organized a Financial Marketing Management workshop at BCM Arya Modal Senior Secondary School Ludhiana, attended by Mr. Ravindra Sharma and Dr. Jitesh Kumar Bishnoi from BPS Pilani. Mr. Hareesh Nagpal emphasized financial literacy, passive income, and various investment topics, while Mr. Sajal Choudhary discussed FMM curriculum updates and the importance of NSE certification. The workshop was highly informative, addressing teachers' doubts and advocating for the introduction of FMM in middle school to enhance financial literacy among students.

RS ZOOM POSTCARD BY NEWCASTLE GRAMMAR SCHOOL IN AUSTRALIA :-Six students from Vivekananda House participated in a 90-minute RS Zoom postcard by Newcastle Grammar School in Australia on May 9th at 2:30 p.m. IST, discussing "Historic Leaders." The event included 100 participants from 18 schools across five countries. Each group chose and shared the contributions of historic leaders from their countries, including Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King Jr. The students narrated inspiring stories of these leaders' achievements and their global influence. The session was enriching and informative.

RS HISTORY LAB :-Six students from Vivekananda House participated in two 90-minute RS Zoom postcards on May 23rd and May 30th at 8:30 p.m. IST, discussing "Colonialism" and "The Cold War" with students from multiple countries. They engaged in insightful dialogues on the historical impacts and transformations resulting from these periods. Both events were part of the "History Lab" series. The students conducted excellent research and actively contributed to the discussions.

  RS ZOOM POSTCARD THE INDIAN HIGH SCHOOL, DUBAI:-  our students from Panini House successfully participated in the RS Zoom Postcard event, "Don't Stereotype Me. What Does It Take to Break a Stereotype?", hosted by The Indian High School, Dubai. The 90-minute event included presentations, breakout discussions, and interactive sessions with around 100 participants. Our students engaged actively, demonstrating their understanding of stereotypes and the importance of breaking them. The event enhanced their communication and critical thinking skills while fostering global citizenship. Overall, it was a highly beneficial and successful experience.

RS ZOOM POSTCARD BY BOX HILL SCHOOL IN THE UK : Six students from Vivekananda House participated in a 90-minute RS Zoom postcard by Box Hill School in the UK on May 16th at 8:30 p.m. IST, discussing "World War 2" with 150 students from 25 schools in 11 countries. They analyzed the war's global impact, including economic depression, famine, casualties, and destruction, as well as the positive aspects like promoting peace and cooperation. The discussion reinforced the belief that wars are undesirable and must be prevented. The students' insightful analysis demonstrated their understanding and engagement.

 

RS ZOOM POSTCARD THE AFFILIATED HIGH SCHOOL OF PEKING UNIVERSITY'S DALTON ACADEMY : Our students from Vyas House participated successfully in the RS Zoom Postcard event on "The Impact of AI on Learning," hosted by The Affiliated High School of Peking University's Dalton Academy. The 60-minute event included presentations and group discussions with around 80 participants from various schools worldwide. Our students actively engaged in discussions, highlighting AI usage in our school and demonstrating their understanding of AI's impact on learning. The event enhanced their communication and critical thinking skills while fostering global citizenship. Overall, it was a highly beneficial and successful experience.

Induction Programme: From April 1st to 5th, 2024, Birla Public School Pilani had a series of engaging activities. The Principal Assembly in Vijay Hall and the Athletic Meet Finals marked a spirited start to the month. Students had interactive sessions with their Class and Subject teachers for insightful discussions. They also explored various places like Pahari Mandir, Birla Haveli, Shardha Peeth, Eco Park, and Connaught Place, broadening their cultural and experiential horizons. Additionally, the afternoons were dedicated to House-wise introductions of new boys, facilitated by old boys sharing their experiences from previous years, fostering a sense of camaraderie and tradition within the school community.

'Fun With Science Workshop':- Birla Public School, Pilani, organized the 'Fun With Science Workshop' from 3rd April to 5th April 2024, providing students with an enriching and interactive experience with science. Led by Mr. Manoranjan Kumar, Head of the Science Department, the workshop was a testament to his expertise and added significant value to the overall learning experience. The teachers not only demonstrated various experiments but also delved into the underlying science principles and their practical applications in everyday life. By bridging scientific concepts with real-world scenarios, students gained a deeper appreciation for the relevance and significance of science in their daily lives. The workshop not only ignited students' curiosity but also furthered their interest in science, making it a memorable and enjoyable learning opportunity."

Ajrakh Block Printing Workshop :-The Ajrakh Block Printing Workshop, held at Birla Public School Pilani from 3rd to 5th April 2024, featured renowned National Awardee Mr. Ratnamala Khatri as the resource person. Mr. Khatri, an expert Ajrakh block print traditional Printmaker from Barmer, Rajasthan, provided training to students on creating natural colors and using them to print on cotton cloth. The process, known for its natural, pure, and impressive techniques, engaged 25 students. From this workshop, two students were selected to represent the school in the prestigious Dharohar competition.

Activities conducted from 8 ^th April-13 ^th April’24 (4:00-5:00 pm):- The school organized a range of engaging activities across different venues and under the guidance of dedicated instructors. The Montessori Hall hosted lively dance sessions led by Ms. Shivangi, Mrs. Narottama Sharma, and guest instructor Mr. Lucky. In the Music Room, Dr. Vijaylaxmi and Mr. M.M. Sharma orchestrated melodious tunes for the students. The creative spirit flourished in the Craft Room, where Ms. Shery, Mr. Amit Sharma, and Mr. Laxmi Shankar guided students through artistic endeavors. The Art Room buzzed with creativity under the supervision of Mrs. Aswani Kedar, Mr. P.K. Tanwar, and Mr. M.S. Maheshwari. Communication skills were honed in Class VII A with Mr. Rahul Tiwari, Mrs. Radha Sharma, and Mrs. Aditi Choudhary. Meanwhile, Calligraphy skills were refined in Class VI A by Mrs. Neelam Mata, Mr. Kailash Sharma, and Mr. A.K. Khanna. Scientific curiosity was explored in the Science Room by Mr. A.K. Jangid and Dr. Antara Banerjee. Lastly, the Common Room buzzed with energy during the Fun with Sports sessions, led by Mr. V.K. Saraswat and Mr. Shubham Mishra.

District-Level Lawn Tennis Tournament:- Birla Public School Pilani organized a district-level lawn tennis tournament on April 6 and 7. The tournament was inaugurated by Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwaha, and three of our students achieved notable positions: Rudraksh Jhakkar secured the First position in the Under 14 category, Aryan Kaila secured the Second position in the Under 16 category, and Shaurya Dhingra secured the Second position in the Under 18 category.At the state-level tournament held in Jaipur from April 13 to April 16, five of our students participated. Notably, Shaurya Dhingra from our school achieved a remarkable victory against the Udaipur team, leading our team to reach the Quarter Finals.

 

RAMNAUMI CELEBRATION On 17th April 2024, Birla Public School organized a Godhuli event to celebrate Ramnaumi for students from the Senior and Middle Sections at 18:00 hrs. The Chief Guest for the occasion was the Principal of BPS. The event commenced with a soulful Bhajan performance by the boys. Dr. Mrs. Shefali Sharma, the main speaker of the evening, enlightened the students about the significance of Ramnaumi. The program concluded with the distribution of prasad, marking a memorable and spiritually enriching event for all attendees.

VISIT TO JOYGOAN JHAJHAR:- A total of 92 boarders and 3 day scholars, accompanied by 8 teacher escorts from the junior section, visited Joygoan Jhajhar. The students delighted in various experiences including delicious food, thrilling water and adventure rides, a captivating 9D movie, and a 360-degree bicycle adventure. After indulging in these exciting activities, the students returned to school in the evening at 7:44 pm.

 

 ENGLISH CREATIVE WRITING COMPETITION :- On 13th April 2024, Birla Public School, Pilani, organized a Creative Writing Competition for students in classes V to XII, aiming to nurture creativity and literary skills. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from all school students, with each participant given one hour for their writing endeavor.Participants from the Junior, Middle, and Senior sections were encouraged to submit an almost equal number of entries across five distinct categories: Poem Writing, Story Writing, Comic Strip Creation, and Article Writing on contemporary issues.Students showcased their emotive depth, creativity, and originality across all categories, impressing the judges who evaluated based on criteria such as Originality, Diction, Grammar Proficiency, Expression, and Overall Performance. The final judgment criteria were based on the average performance in each category for each section.The best entries have been selected for publication in the upcoming school magazine, reflecting the students' commendable talent and performance across various creative writing genres.

 

Freshers Party :-The Freshers Party for the boys of the 2024-25 batch was held on April 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the Vijay Hall. The esteemed guests included Principal (BPS), Headmaster Mr. S.K. Baral, DOPC Mr. S.N. Tyagi, and the Bursar of BPS. Students from all houses displayed their talents on stage, captivating the audience with their performances. The Chief Guest extended gratitude and congratulations to all new students for their enthusiastic participation, making the event a memorable and enjoyable one.

 

BITSMUN :- The BITSMUN event for the 2024-25 academic year took place from 6th to 7th April. Our school had 23 participants, including 2 from the 12th standard and 21 from the Middle Section. All participants performed admirably and received certificates of participation.

 

MCGS MUN 2024-25 The MCGS Ajmer MUN for the 2024-25 academic year took place from 14th to 17th April. Our school had 12 participants, including 5 from the 12th standard and 7 from the 10th standard. Over 260 students from 21 schools participated in the MUN. All our participants performed admirably and received certificates of participation.

 

HINDI CREATIVE WRITING COMPETITION :- Birla Public School hosted a Hindi Creative Writing Competition on 23rd April 2024, involving students from Class V to XII. The competition aimed to nurture Hindi language skills and creativity among students. Participants showcased their talent across various genres, with a focus on originality, language fluency, and creativity. Winners will be featured in school publications, encouraging further exploration of Hindi literature and language among students.

 

Poem Recitation Competition :-Birla Public School Pilani hosted an Inter House English Poem Recitation Competition on April 20, 2024, in their auditorium. Forty students from 5 combined Houses participated in the event.The competition was judged by Ms. Varsha Ratta and Ms. Aparupa Chakraborti Paul. Kanad House and Vivekanand House shared the first place, while Dayanand House and Vyas House secured the second position. Guru Nanak House and Panini House achieved the third place, followed by Buddha House and Katyayan House in fourth place. Mahavir House and Patanjali House were awarded the fifth position.

 

 EARTH DAY REPORT :- Birla Public School's Junior Section celebrated Earth Day with a Rangoli Competition on 22nd April. Ten students from each house participated, showcasing their creativity on the theme "Plastic v/s Planet." Judges evaluated entries based on creativity, theme relevance, and visual impact. Winners were Shishu Griha II (1st), Shishu Griha I (2nd), and Kishore House (3rd), highlighting students' commitment to environmental conservation.

 

BPS Pilani Boxing Team's Cycling Adventure ​ :- A group of 18 enthusiastic students from our boxing team embarked on a memorable 20-kilometer cycling trip, accompanied by their dedicated coach. During the trip, they had the opportunity to learn about organic farming through discussions with people working there, gaining insights into various crops and fruit plants.

 

Dharohar :- Birla Public School Pilani students showcased their cultural and creative prowess at the Dharohar event at S.K.V. Gwalior from 17th to 20th April. They participated in various activities including Ajrakh block print, Kutch Lippan Art, Rabari Bharot embroidery, solo song performances, folk dances, painting, drama, and culinary workshops. National Awardee Mr. Ratnamala Khatri conducted a successful Ajrakh block print workshop, with 25 students learning natural color techniques and two students selected for Dharohar.At the event, 13 students participated in 11 activities, gaining valuable cultural and creative insights. Noteworthy experiences included Bandhej workshops and performances in music, dance, drama, and culinary arts. The event concluded with a grand dinner showcasing Gujarati cuisine. Students embraced these experiences, showcasing their talents and aiming for even better performances in the future .

 

Hanuman Jayanti celebration :- The Hanuman Jayanti celebration at the School Hanuman Temple on April 23, 2024, was a lively and spiritually uplifting affair. Staff families, students, and devotees congregated to honor the birth of Lord Hanuman. The day commenced with the chanting of the Sundarkand, followed by a heartwarming session of Bhajan Kirtan. Prasad was distributed to everyone present, symbolizing unity and blessings within the school community. The event effectively highlighted cultural heritage, spiritual values, and promoted communal harmony among all participants .

 

All India IPSC Volleyball Tournament:- The All India IPSC Volleyball Tournament for Under 17 and Under 19 categories held at Birla Public School Pilani from 27th to 29th April 2024 featured nine prominent schools showcasing talent and sportsmanship. Dr. M. Kasturi, Principal of BBVP, graced the event as Chief Guest, welcomed by Ms. Kajal Marwaha, Principal of BPS, Pilani. Memorable matches included BPS Pilani's victories against BRCM and Emerald Heights, Indore, while BRCM, Bahal triumphed against PPS, Nabha and Emerald Heights, Indore. Individual awards recognized outstanding players in both categories, with BPS Pilani securing the U/17 category and Sainik School, Nagrota, Jammu, emerging as winners in the U/19 category, culminating in a celebratory closing ceremony with Mr. Pushpender Singh Rathore, Additional S P of Jhunjhunu District, acknowledging the achievements of all participants.

 

Mrs. Kajal Marwaha Receives Edulnspirer Entusiasmo Award:- Mrs. Kajal Marwaha, Principal of Birla Public School Pilani, was honored with the prestigious Edulnspirer Entusiasmo award at the EDUICON AWARDS 2024. Her dedication to student development and fostering inclusive cultures has been a source of inspiration for the entire school community. Congratulations on this remarkable achievement!

 

Labour Day :- On Labour Day, BPS Pilani celebrated the dedication and hard work of our amazing support staff. Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwaha, Bursar Mr. Mahesh Pandey, and our staff members joined hands with students to express our gratitude by serving them a special meal. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Mahesh Tibra from the SE Electricity Department, Jhunjhunu.

 

CBSE Structured Assessment for Analyzing Learning (SAFAL) Training 2024  ​ :- Mr. Ajeet and Mr. Anil Brar participated in a training program on April 9, 2024, at Maheshwari Girls School, Jaipur. The resource persons, Dr. Pragya Verma and Mr. Amit Verma, addressed our queries regarding the smooth conduct of a competency-based diagnostic assessment as per the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, scheduled for July 2024.

 

IC3 conference:- Ms. Varsha Ratta represented Birla Public School, Pilani at the recent IC3 Conference held at Mayo College, Ajmer on April 13th, 2024!The conference kicked off with inspiring talks on innovation and the future of education.  ​

 

G2 summit :- Ms. Varsha Ratta and Ms. Priyanka Tomar from BPS Pilani attended the G2 Summit in Delhi on April 18th and 19th, 2024. They participated in sessions on Artificial Intelligence's impact on education, effective communication for counselors, and student well-being. Their active engagement showcased BPS Pilani's commitment to holistic education and staying updated with industry trends.

 

 Meditation Session:- In the tranquil setting of Godhuli, Panini House  orchestrated a meditation session for senior school students in classes 11 and 12, with full teacher participation during the school assembly on Friday, May 3rd, 2024. Addressing the assembly was the esteemed Dean of Pastoral Care (DOPC), while the meditation session was skillfully guided by Mr. Hari Singh Yogacharya." ​

 

Inter-School Football Tournament hosted by Dalmia School Chirawa, :-Birla Public School Pilani triumphed in the Inter-School Football Tournament hosted by Dalmia School Chirawa, celebrating their centenary from May 1st to May 3rd, 2024. Among 16 teams, BPS Pilani emerged as the champions, defeating the host school 3-0 in the finals. The event was graced by Mr. Vikas Dhendwal, DSP Chirawa, as the chief guest, with Mrs. Kajal Marwaha, Principal of Birla Public School, as the guest of honor. Mr. Anand Singh Rathore, HOD Sports, also attended the event.

 

Session on "Fostering School Startups :-ASSOCHAM Rajasthan State Development Council (RSDC) proposed a session on "Fostering School Startups" in association with Harsha Rohit Finishing School for Birla Education Trust School, Pilani, Rajasthan, scheduled for May 3rd at 11:30 am at Birla Balika Vidya Peeth. A total of 68 students from our school participated in the conference, which highlighted the importance of school startups in nurturing innovation, problem-solving skills, resilience, and leadership qualities among students. The event aimed to empower students with essential skills for the future and create a mindset of innovation and adaptability. We thank ASSOCHAM RSDC and Harsha Rohit Finishing School for organizing this impactful session.

 

  BET Career Fair 2024:- Birla Public School Pilani hosted a Career Fair on May 4th, 2024, inaugurated by Professor Sudhir Kumar Barai, Director of BITS Pilani, and Mr. Ghanshyam Singh Gaur, CFO of BITS Pilani. Guests included Dr. Manivannan Kasturi, Principal of Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, and Mr. Dhirendra Singh, Principal of Birla School Pilani. Representatives from 48 universities, including Anglo-Eastern Maritime Academy Mumbai, Bocconi University Milan, and Shiv Nadar University Delhi, offered guidance on admissions and showcased their specialties. The fair, attended by students from various Birla Education Trust schools, provided a valuable platform for career exploration and decision-making.

 

The Inter-house Best Out of Waste Competition :-The Inter-house Best Out of Waste Competition held on May 4th, 2024, in the Junior Section saw enthusiastic participation from all students. The event aimed to boost their creative abilities and promote environmental conservation by using recyclable materials. Through this competition, students were encouraged to develop awareness about environmental issues and contribute to a sustainable future by reducing waste.

 

Interaction with the Students from France and Thiland:- On May 7, 2024, students from King Mongkut Institute of Technology in Thailand and CYTECH College in France visited Birla Public School for an interactive session with class XI and XII students. The international guests presented their ongoing research projects, providing valuable insights into global academic endeavors. To immerse the visitors in Indian culture, BPS students welcomed them with a vibrant Gujrati folk song, followed by a captivating presentation showcasing the rich cultural diversity of India's North, East, Central, and Southern regions. Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwaha, along with Dr. Sonam Mittal from BIRD (Birla International Relation Division), Mr. Reetesh Gautam (Training & Placement Officer, BKBIET, Pilani), and Mr. Gaurav Sahu, Co-In charge, graced the event with their presence. The day concluded with a campus tour led by BPS students, further fostering cultural exchange and academic collaboration .

The students, namely Neev Tulsiyan, Mayuresh Vishwanathan, Lavya Garg, Rishav Choudhary, Kartik Gupta, and Rudra P. Singh from class IX GH, shared their perspectives on stress through a pre-work questionnaire, highlighting signs, symptoms, and solutions. They emphasized the role of education, discipline, and motivation in managing stress, showcasing practical approaches. RS Zoom postcard hosted by The Sanskar Valley School in India :-Six students from Vivekananda House participated in the 90-minute RS Zoom postcard hosted by The Sanskar Valley School in India on Thursday, 25th April at 2:30 p.m. IST, focusing on "The Roaring Twenties" as part of the History Lab series. The participants, Shivam Drolia, Praharsh Priyam, Nikunj Yadav, Saaket Jhalaria, Likhit Poddar, and Hridhaan Pathak from class X VH, shared insights on pivotal historical events through pre-work slides. They discussed economic growth, education systems, political transformations, and influential figures like Gandhi, along with global events such as the Russian Civil War and Nazi philosophy. The conference had participation from seven schools globally with 40 attendees and concluded at 04:15 P.M.

RS Zoom postcard hosted by Queen Anne's School in the UK :- Six students from Guru Nanak House participated in a 90-minute RS Zoom postcard hosted by Queen Anne's School in the UK on Wednesday, 1st May 2024 at 2:30 p.m. IST. The topic focused on "Tracing the Human Impact of the Products We Buy - A Challenge." With 17 schools from five countries and 100 participants, the discussion revolved around the evolution and impact of various products globally, including clothing, fashion, tea, lipstick, and food items. The innovative session highlighted the transformation of resources and their usage by humans across different regions, fostering engaging conversations and insights. The meeting concluded at 04:00 P.M., leaving the students enriched with diverse perspectives on product evolution and its societal impact.

The participants, Shivam Drolia, Praharsh Priyam, Nikunj Yadav, Saaket Jhalaria, Likhit Poddar, and Hridhaan Pathak from class X VH, discussed India's freedom struggle, sacrifices, movements, repressive Acts, and freedom fighters through pre-work slides. 1 . On 4th March, a significant event took place at Parents Plaza, Birla Public School, the NCC ANOs Conference at 10:30 hrs. The Commanding Officer, Col B. Thakur, actively engaged with all the ANOs, delving into discussions about upcoming activities and camp schedules. Additionally, Principal BPS, Madam Kajal Marwah, participated in fruitful interactions with both the CO and ANOs during this conference."

2.House Hindi Debate Competition: The Inter House Hindi Debate Competition held on 01 March 2024 at the Junior Section Montessori Hall saw enthusiastic participation from two students representing each house. Under the guidance of judges Mrs. Shephali Sharma and Mr. Manoj Kumar, the competition showcased the eloquence and debating skills of the students, with Kumar House securing the 1st position.

3.Inter House Music Competition: On 02 March 2024, the Montessori Hall Junior Section resonated with melodious tunes during the Inter House Music Competition. With 25 to 30 children from each house participating, the event was a celebration of musical talent, culminating in Kumar House claiming the top spot, followed by Kishore House and Shishu Griha.

4.Shivratri Celebration: The auspicious occasion of Shivratri was commemorated with reverence and devotion at Birla Public School Pilani. From floral tributes to Lord Shiva to soul-stirring bhajan presentations and insightful sermons, the celebration underscored the spiritual ethos of the school community, culminating in the distribution of Prasad and blessings from Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwaha.

5.Cycle Tour: Promoting physical fitness and camaraderie, the cycle tour organized on 12 March 2024 took students on a scenic route from Birla Public School to Patharia village and back. Flagged off by Mr. Anand Singh Rathore, HOD Physical Education, the tour encouraged students to embrace a healthy lifestyle while fostering a sense of collective responsibility.

6.World Earth Day Celebration: Birla Public School Pilani joined the global movement on World Earth Day, emphasizing energy conservation and climate change awareness. Activities such as story-telling, singing, and addressing the importance of sustainable development were conducted, highlighting the school's commitment to environmental stewardship under the leadership of Principal Mrs. Kajal Marwaha.

7.RS Zoom Postcard by St. Andrew's School: Participation in the RS Zoom Postcard by St. Andrew's School on "Coping with Stress" showcased the insightful perspectives of Gurunanak House students. Through pre-work questionnaires and discussions, students not only identified stressors but also proposed practical solutions, emphasizing the role of education and discipline in maintaining a balanced life.

8.Day Trip to Hissar MG Water Park: The exhilarating day trip to Hissar MG Water Park on 28 March 2024 was a blend of fun-filled activities and educational experiences for Class XI students. From thrilling water rides to educational sessions at the MG Cinematic Theatre, the trip fostered learning, camaraderie, and lasting memories among the students, reflecting the vibrant spirit of Vidya Niketan Birla Public School.

Day Trip to Joygaon Picnic Park, Jhajjar :-Grades V to VII students from Birla Public School, Pilani embarked on an epic journey filled with thrills and cultural delights at Joygaon Picnic Park, Jhajjar, Haryana!  Zip-lining, air cycling, toy train rides, and more – our students embraced every moment of excitement and adventure.Amidst the laughter and cheers, they also delved into puppet shows, swimming pool splashes, and mouthwatering traditional cuisine, creating memories to last a lifetime. Beyond the fun, it was a day of cultural immersion, where students explored the rich heritage of the region, fostering unity and understanding.

10.Excursion to Pratapgarh Farms, Jhajjar, Haryana :-Middle section students from classes IX and X at Birla Public School, Pilani embarked on an enchanting excursion to Pratapgarh Farms, Jhajjar, Haryana! From a nourishing breakfast at 6.45 am to a day filled with adventure and discovery, our young explorers immersed themselves in a variety of experiences.  Amidst picturesque surroundings, they enjoyed culinary delights and explored captivating Carnival Zones, enriching Cultural Zones, adrenaline-fueled Adventure Zones, and exhilarating Sports Zones, showcasing their boundless curiosity and spirit of adventure!  They participated in Rural Games, Cultural Activities, visited serene Temples, and soaked in the tranquil charm of Panchwati until 5.00 pm, forming lasting bonds and cherished memories.  Our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated teachers for ensuring our students' safety and enjoyment, and to parents for entrusting us with such enriching experiences.

1.    AISSE and AISSCE Examinations:- 143 students of BPS Pilani are taking up the AISSE and AISSCE Examinations this year, the school is also a CNS centre for the exam and evaluation.

2.     Online Workshop on Novel Study Course: Ms. Radha Sharma and Ms. Mamta Sharma attended an online workshop on Novel Study Course from February 5 to February 10, 2024. The workshop, conducted by Ms. Kavita Kurien, provided valuable insights into novel study techniques and analysis.

3.     Inter House Mathematics Quiz: The Junior Section hosted an Inter House Mathematics Quiz on February 10, 2024. Supervised by Mrs. Narottama Sharma, the quiz comprised four rounds: MCQ, Problem Solving, Visual, and Rapid Fire. Kumar House secured the First Position, followed by Kishore House in Second, and Bal House and Shishu Griha House sharing the Third Position.

4.     Founder’s Day Celebration: The 95th Founder’s Day was celebrated at Shardapeeth Temple on February 14, 2024. Eleven students from the middle section presented a soulful Bhajan, enriching the cultural program. The Director BET and other dignitaries felicitated students who brought laurels to the school. Among the awardees were Mr. Anil Saini as Best Teacher in BET, Dr. Jitesh Bishnoi, Mrs. Kushagra Bhati, and Mr. Ravi Raj as Best Teachers in BPS.

5.     BET Inter School Band Competition: BPS Pilani secured the Third Position out of 35 participating schools at the BET Inter School Band Competition held at BPS, Kishangarh, from February 23 to 24, 2024. The achievement highlighted the school's musical prowess and dedication.

6.     Art on Wall - Innovation Hub Activity: Students from various Birla Education Trust schools actively participated in the 'Art on Wall' activity during Skill-Fest 2024, showcasing their creativity on February 8th and 9th, 2024. This initiative fostered artistic expression and innovation among students.

7.     BET TATC Skill Fest-2024 Participation: A total of 62 students and 8 teachers from BPS Pilani participated in various activities during the BET TATC Skill Fest 2024, commemorating National Science Day. The school won accolades in multiple categories, demonstrating its commitment to excellence in science education.

8.     Celebration of National Science Day: To honor National Science Day, special assemblies were organized from February 26 to 28, 2024. Mr. Udit Narayan Pal delivered a lecture on Plasma Science and Indian contributions to scientific development. The event aimed to instill scientific temperament among students.

9.     Inter House Library Quiz Competition: The Senior Section organized an Inter House Library Quiz Competition on February 8, 2024. Panini House secured the First Position, followed by Vyas House in Second, and Katyayan House in Third. The competition encouraged literary exploration and knowledge enhancement among students.

The conference provided a platform for cultural exchange and global collaboration.

RS Zoom Postcard Participation : Students engaged in RS Zoom Postcards with schools like GEMS Millennium School, Sharjah, and St. George's Grammar School, South Africa, discussing topics like "Learning to Unlearn Consumption" and "Historic Heroes". 5-RS ZOOM POSTCARD :- Our students, Manas Raj, Kriday Agarwal , Krishna Purwar, Raunak Somani, Kunwar Rashtradeep along with the Teacher I/C Ms Narottama Sharma participated in the RS Zoom Postcard from Palmer Trinity School U.S.  on the theme “Mental health among Teens ". The 90-minute call took place on Wednesday January 31 2024  at 4:30 pm SA, (GMT+2) and  brought 200 students from 40 schools in 14 countries ( Australia, Canada, China, Colombia, Germany, India, Kenya, Malaysia, Pakistan, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, UK, and UAE).  

The Call focussed on the needs of mental health among teens . Our children  actively participated in the discussion on needs of mental health among teens . The students presented their viws on ways to promote mental health among adolescents.  Our students presented their views  confidently and got the opportunity to broaden their horizon of knowledge and experiences

1-  Inter-BET Athletics’ Meet:- In the Inter BET Athletic Meet (U-14) held at Birla Balika Vidyapeeth on November 17, 2023, seven students from the junior section showcased their athletic prowess. Among them, Mast. Animesh Kumar emerged as a standout performer by securing a silver medal in the shot put event. This accomplishment not only highlights the individual excellence of Mast. Animesh Kumar but also underscores the overall participation and competitive spirit of the junior section students in the athletic meet. Such achievements contribute to the school's sporting legacy and encourage a culture of sportsmanship and healthy competition among the students.

2- INTER-HOUSE ART COMPETITION :-

On December 2, 2023, Birla Public School orchestrated an Art Competition that saw spirited participation from students of Shishu Griha, Bal House, Kishore House, and Kumar House. A remarkable total of 180 students exhibited their artistic prowess with unwavering zeal and enthusiasm. Spearheading the event was Mr. Mukesh Singh, the dedicated incharge. The artistic triumphs unfolded with Kumar House clinching the coveted 1st position, while Shishu Griha secured the 1st Runner-up spot, Kishore House claimed the 2nd Runner-up position, and Bal House emerged as the 3rd Runner-up. Individual excellence shone through in the detailed breakdown of each house's achievements. In Kumar House, Harsh of 8th 'c' clinched the 1st position, followed by Tanmay Sigar of 7th 'c' in 2nd place and Shivam Kadian of 8th 'c' in 3rd place. Shishu Griha showcased its talent with Kartik of 5th grade securing the 1st position, Gurkirat of 5th grade securing the 2nd position, and Hartik of 6th 'b' claiming the 3rd position. Kishore House celebrated the joint victory of Abhijay from 8th 'd' and Ayushman Bansal from 8th 'a' in 1st place, followed by Nikhil Gujjar of 8th 'c' in 2nd place, and Chinmay Joshi of 7th 'b' in 3rd place. Bal House's artistic prowess was exemplified by Ojas Saini of 7th 'b' securing the 1st position, Virat Kukreti of 7th 'c' in 2nd place, and Divyansh Lakhoti of 8th 'd' in 3rd place. The Junior Section of the school witnessed an exhilarating Inter-House Handball Tournament held from November 29 to December 2, 2023, featuring spirited participation from the three houses: Bal, Kishore, and Kumar. The competition unfolded with keen enthusiasm, showcasing the prowess and sportsmanship of the young athletes. Notably, Kumar House secured the prestigious 1st position, followed closely by Kishore House in 2nd place, and Bal House commendably clinching the 3rd spot. 3- INTER HOUSE YOGA COMPETITION :-

On December 5, 2023, the Junior Section's Skating Rink buzzed with energy as it played host to an engaging Inter-House Yoga Competition, a testament to both physical prowess and mental fortitude. Guided by the capable leadership of Dr. Harisingh, 28 students enthusiastically embraced the challenge across three distinct categories: Athletic Yoga, Artistic Yoga, and Rhythmic Yoga. The results unfolded with Kishor House clinching the esteemed 1st position, showcasing their exceptional skills and dedication to the practice. Following closely, Shishu Grah secured the 2nd position with a graceful display of yoga, while Bal House claimed the 3rd spot, demonstrating a commitment to holistic well-being. 4- INTER BET SCIENCE QUIZ (JUNIOR CATEGORY) :-

The Inter BET Science Quiz (Junior Category) 2023, hosted by Birla School, Pilani on December 6th, saw enthusiastic participation from six teams representing various BET Schools. The competition, specifically designed for students in grades 5 and 6, showcased the academic prowess of budding young minds. Birla Public School (BPS) demonstrated commendable knowledge and teamwork, securing the second position in the quiz. Under the guidance of Ms. Priyanka Tomar, the in-charge of the team, participants Aksh Gupta from Grade V, Shantam Jha from Grade VI B, and Sanvarta from Grade VI A displayed their scientific acumen and contributed to the school's success. The event not only celebrated intellectual curiosity but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition among the participating schools.

5- INTER -BET ENGLISH PENTANGULAR COMPETITION:-

The Inter-BET English Pentangular Competition unfolded on December 6, 2023, at Birla School Pilani, featuring a vibrant display of linguistic prowess. A total of 100 students participated across the Junior, Middle, and Senior categories, with 10 students each from grades VI to X in the Closed Category. Additionally, 50 students engaged in the challenging Dictation Open Category. The competition not only provided a platform for students to showcase their language skills but also fostered healthy competition and academic excellence across different age groups. The event's diverse participation reflects the commitment to linguistic development and the promotion of a dynamic learning environment within the BET school community.

6- Time Project 2023-24 :-

Vidya Niketan, Birla Public School in Pilani, actively participated in the Time Project on December 8, 2023. The Junior Section, comprising 50 students from grades V, VI, VII, and VIII, engaged in collaborative learning and cultural exchange under the guidance of dedicated teachers: Ms. Aditi Choudhary, Ms. Neelam Mata, Ms. Shivangi Sharma, Mr. Mukesh Zile Singh, Mr. Laxmi Shankar, Mr. Anil Brar, Mr. Virendra Singh Yadav, Mr. Devendra Singh Shekhawat (Technical Support), and Mr. Manish Dharu (Technical Support). The day featured diverse activities, including the Unite The Nations Game, video conferencing on Refugee Crisis, Temperature Rising, and Artificial Intelligence, a lesson on Time, UN, UNESCO, and a selfie session with the Time Project logo. 7- INTER HOUSE SKATING COMPETITION :-

The Junior Section of our school witnessed an exhilarating Inter-House Skating Competition on December 14, 2023, with a total of 48 students, featuring 12 skilled participants from each house—SG, Bal, Kishore, and Kumar. In a display of remarkable skating prowess, the competition resulted in SG securing the 1st position, followed by Kumar at 2nd, Bal at 3rd, and Kishore at 4th. The standout skaters who clinched the top positions include Yashojjwal Singh, Ayushmaan Bansal, Navtesh Choudhary, Siddharth Jain, Tejasv Gupta, Virat Kukreti, Pulkit Jain, Chetan Gautam, Nikunj Mallik, and Heer Pandya. Additionally, the emerging talents recognized for their promising performances are Avijit Singh, Vishwa Raj, and Samar Pratap Singh. 8- IPSC Under-19 Cricket Tournament: -The IPSC Under-19 Cricket Tournament, hosted at Emerald Heights International School from December 2 to December 9, 2023, showcased spirited cricketing performances under the captaincy of Dhairya Tyagi and Ansh Gupta. The team demonstrated their prowess by engaging in four league matches, securing victories in two and facing defeats in the remaining two. A total of sixteen students actively participated in this competitive tournament, with standout performances from Dhairya Tyagi and Hardik, both achieving half-centuries twice during the course of the event, adding significant contributions to the team's overall success.

9- NCC AIR ATC CAMP: -The NCC Air ATC Camp at St. Memorial PG College, Fagi IIRM Center, hosted school cadets from the NCC Air Wing CAT C1, who engaged in a vibrant array of activities from November 29th to December 8th. The cadets showcased their talents in shooting drill, dance, singing, and various sports competitions, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie. Notably, the cadets from Birla Public School, Pilani, secured the first position in the volleyball tournament, highlighting their exceptional teamwork and dedication. The camp served as a platform not only for spirited competitions but also for fostering discipline, leadership, and community among the participants, standing as a testament to the commitment and excellence of the young cadets.

1- DR. AMARJEET SINGH SCIENCE TROPHY EXAM 2023. 

The Dr. Amarjeet Singh General Science Trophy Test 2023 witnessed the participation of 175 students from class 9th and 10th on 31/10/2023 at Sr. Section academic block, including students from BET schools, Ceeri Vidya Mandir, and Bal Niketan Sr. Sec. School. The test, consisting of 100 MCQ questions covering Mental ability, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology based on class 9th and 10th syllabus, was evaluated on 08/11/2023 at the physics lab by nominated teachers from each school. Birla Shishu Vihar claimed the 1st position in this inter-school activity. Additionally, on 4th November, a separate Dr. Amarjeet Singh General Science Trophy Test was conducted by BBVP at Birla School, Pilani, with 25 participants from grades 7 and 8. The results for this test are pending.

2- INTER BET ATHLETIC MEET U-14 :-

Inter BET athletic meet (U-14) was organised at Birla balika Vidyapeeth on 17.11.2023. 7 students of Birla Public School junior section participated in this competition. Master Animesh Kumar won silver medal in short put event.

3- BET INTER SCHOOL GENERAL SCIENCE QUIZ ( MIDDLE) :-

On November 20th, the BET Inter School General Science Quiz (Middle) took place at Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani, with all six BET schools participating. Birla Public School Pilani secured the Fourth Position, while Birla Balika Vidyapeeth claimed the top spot. The quiz included participants such as Vivan Yadav from Class 7th, Heer Kunal, and Krishna Purwar, both from Class 8th.

4- HORSE RIDING EFFICIENCY TEST  JUNIOR SECTION 2023-24 :-

The Horse Riding Efficiency Test, conducted for Junior section students from November 22 to November 29, 2023, saw the participation of 203 students from all four houses. Mr. Vinod Kumar oversaw the event. The results are as follows: Kishore House secured the I position, Bal House claimed the II position, Kumar House attained the III position, and Shishu Griha concluded with the IV position in this comprehensive evaluation of horse riding skills among the participating students.

5- INTER HOUSE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT:-

The Inter-House Basketball Tournament for the secondary section unfolded from November 25 to November 28, 2023, featuring a total of 8 matches played on a League cum Knockout basis among the 5 houses. In a thrilling final match, Guru Nanak House competed against Buddha House, with Guru Nanak House ultimately securing victory with a score of 2-1. The house standings were determined accordingly, with GH claiming the 1st position, BH securing 2nd place, VH finishing 3rd, MH attaining 4th place, and DH concluding in 5th place.

6-INTER HOUSE ENGLISH DEBATE :-

The Inter-House English Debate in the Abridged Cambridge format took place in the school from November 23rd to December 1st, with Mock Debate Sessions held from November 23rd to 27th to finalize participants and prepare them for the final event. Students from grade V to VIII participated, forming teams of four students from different grades, totaling 24 participants. Anchors Nikhil Gujjar, Manvay Dayma, Ashish Thori, and Ayushman Bansal of grade 8 conducted the event successfully. The final round on December 1st had Mr. A.K. Das and Mr. Ajay Umbarkar as judges from the Middle section. The results were as follows: Kishore House secured t1he I position, with Shishu Griha Team B as co-winners. Bal House emerged as the Runners-up. Individual prizes were awarded, including Best Emerging Debater to Agam Jain and Vaishant Garg, Most Promising Speaker to Atherva S Sinha, Shreyash Purwar, Arihaan Choudhary, Nikunj Mallik, and Ansh Raj Singh, Great Overall Performance to Swmai Jamatia, Best Speaker of the Debate to Sharvil Sethi, Pranav Tibrewal, and Prakhar Krishnatray, Best Rhetorician to Anay Pratap Singh, and a Special Consolation Prize to Akshaj. Ms. Aditi Chaudhary served as the incharge of the event.

Round Square:-

1.Round Square AGM in DUBAI:- The School head Mr. S.K Baral and the RS rep. Ms. Varsha Ratta attended the RS AGM in Indian High School in Dubai from 16th to 21st November 2023. The AGM focused on implementing the Discovery Heros in the junior section of the school.

2.RS Zoom Postcard from Craighouse School in Chilie:- Our Six students  along with Ms. Archana Kaushik participated in the 60 mints zoom postcard on 15th November 2023. The theme of the postcard was “Ëvery Change Counts: Building Sustainable Environment Together.”

3.World Music Montage by Mayo Collage Ajmer:- Our 6 children participated in the collaborative effort titled “World Music Montage” led by Mayo college Ajmer for RS Schools. It was a month long collaboration. 16 schools from the South Asia and Gulf region came together for the online projectto express and promote global unity and brotherhood.

1 .Gandhi Jayanti Cleanliness Drive at Birla Public School, Pilani:-On October 1, 2023, Birla Public School, Pilani, observed Gandhi Jayanti with a dedicated cleanliness drive. Under the leadership of Acting Principal Mr. S. K. Baral, all students and teachers actively participated. The campaign spanned from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., during which students cleaned their hostels, playgrounds, gardens, and academic blocks. This collective effort showcased the school's commitment to cleanliness and community involvement.

2. Inter-House Handball Tournament at Birla Public School : From October 2nd to October 5th, 2023, Birla Public School hosted an exhilarating Inter-House Handball Tournament, showcasing the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork among the students. The climactic final match, which took place on October 5th, featured a fierce competition between the formidable MH and DH teams.

Adding prestige to the event, Mr. Ghanshyam Singh Gaur, Chief Financial Officer of BET, graced the occasion as the esteemed chief guest. His presence and support further elevated the tournament's significance.

The final results of the tournament revealed the following house-wise positions:

MH secured the first position with a stellar performance.

DH exhibited remarkable prowess and clinched the second position.

GH displayed commendable sportsmanship to secure the third position.

VH put up a valiant effort to secure the fourth position.

BH, though not in the top positions, demonstrated their enthusiasm and determination throughout the competition.

The Inter-House Handball Tournament not only showcased the athletic talent within the school but also fostered a sense of healthy competition and camaraderie among the students. It was a testament to the school's commitment to holistic development through sports and extracurricular activities.

3. Archery Triumph at All India IPSC Championship :-Birla Public School's archery team shone at the All India IPSC Archery Championship in Mayo College, Ajmer, from October 4th to 5th. Notable achievements included securing the second position in the Under-14 and Under-17 categories, with a collection of gold, silver, and bronze medals. In the Under-19 category, the team won gold, with Aaditya Thakur earning three golds, Yuvansh a silver, and Aditya Mishra a silver and bronze, while Parth claimed a bronze. Additionally, the Under-17 Recurve Team clinched the third position. This remarkable performance earned seven students a spot in the SGFI Nationals.

4. Birla Public School Pilani Volleyball Team Shines in SGFI Nationals:-Birla Public School Pilani's Under-17 Volleyball team showcased their talent at the SGFI Nationals in Srinagar from October 31st to November 4th. The team had previously secured victory in the IPSC Championship at Emerald Height Indore. The team was accompanied by Mr. Rajinikanth and Mr. Rasbir Singh.

Coach Mr. Suresh's skillful guidance played a pivotal role in their success. The participating boys from our school were Jatin Vyas, Hariom Rai Kat, Avichal Singh Kan, Vairnim Singh Maha, Pravesh Bud, Arnav Singh Guru, and Harsehej Kan.

5. Birla Public School Pilani Riding Efficiency :-Birla Public School Pilani conducted a Riding Efficiency Test for Secondary and Senior Secondary students from October 17 to 21, with a total of 512 participants, including day scholars.

Senior Section:

Vyas House secured the top position with 154 points.

Kanad House followed in the second position with 78 points.

Patanjali House claimed the third position with 79 points.

Panini House earned the fourth position with 71 points.

Katayan House ranked fifth with 47 points.

Secondary Section:

Vivekananda House excelled, securing the first position with 85 points.

GH House demonstrated their skills and earned the second position with 84 points.

MH House performed well, finishing in the third position with 70 points.

BH House secured the fourth position with 43 points.

DH House showcased their efforts, taking the fifth position with 45 points.

 

The house rankings were determined by their respective strengths and the excellent performances of their students in the Riding Efficiency Test. Congratulations to all the participants and houses for their impressive achievements.

6. Educational Tour :- Throughout the first week of October, our students from grades V to XII embarked on a series of educational expeditions, forming a total of 12 distinct groups, each destined for its unique adventure:

Grades 5 to 8: Our younger learners delved into the enchanting world of culture and nature, exploring the splendid destinations of Bangalore, Mysore, and Ooty.

Grade 9: This group ascended to the picturesque hill station of Darjeeling, where they soaked in the scenic beauty and local traditions.

Grade 10: Venturing to the northeastern part of India, this group explored the gems of Guwahati, Cherrapunji, and Shillong, renowned for their lush landscapes and natural wonders.

Grade 11: Our high school juniors embarked on a journey to the dynamic southern states, covering the captivating cities of Cochin, Alleppey, Trivandrum, and the southernmost tip of India, Kanyakumari, immersing themselves in the rich culture and coastal allure.

Grade 12: Our graduating class embarked on an unforgettable exploration of the bustling metropolis of Mumbai and the serene shores of Goa.

These educational odysseys not only expanded our students' horizons but also enriched their understanding of the world, fostering a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and landscapes.

7. Inter House Social Science Quiz :-On the 21st of October 2023, Birla Public School orchestrated a riveting Social Science Quiz that proved to be an intellectual showdown. The competition comprised five challenging rounds, and it witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students from Shishu Griha, Bal, Kishore, and Kumar House, who brought their knowledge and fervor to the fore.

The results of this exhilarating quiz are as follows:

Kumar House outshone the competition, securing the prestigious first position with their remarkable performance.

Kishore House demonstrated their depth of knowledge and secured the honorable title of the 1st Runner-up.

Bal House's students showcased their aptitude for social sciences, earning the well-deserved recognition of 2nd Runner-up.

Shishu Griha's enthusiastic participation and efforts earned them the esteemed title of 3rd Runner-up.

 

This enthralling event was meticulously overseen by Ms. Neelam Mata, who ensured its smooth execution and the fair assessment of the participants' knowledge and skills.

 8. Inter House Science Quiz :-On October 30th, 2023, the Junior Section campus hosted the "Inter House Science Quiz Competition" in the Montessori Hall. The event featured the active participation of 16 boys, with four representing each of the Bal, Kumar, Shishu Grah, and Kishore houses. Mr. Anil Jangid served as the overall event coordinator.

The competition unfolded with four competitive teams vying for the top position. In the end, the results were as follows:

Kishore House secured the coveted first position.

Bal House demonstrated excellence by clinching the second position.

Kumar House earned a respectable third place.

Shishu Grah finished in the fourth position, showcasing their participation in this intellectually stimulating event.

9. Inter-School Wall Painting Competition:- Vidya Niketan Birla Public School organized an Inter-School Wall Painting Competition for the Middle and Senior Sections on October 20th and 21st, 2023. A total of 50 students participated, 25 from each section, including 5 from each house. The competition aimed to promote creative thinking and artistic expression.

A panel of judges, including experts from BBVP, evaluated the entries based on theme relevance, creativity, technical skills, neatness, and composition. Vyas House and the integrated Dayanand House clinched the Wall Painting Competition trophy.

10. Inter-House Swimming Efficiency Test Results: Birla Public School, Pilani, recently conducted the Inter-House Swimming Efficiency Test, and the results are as follows:

Middle Section:

Gurunanak House: Achieved an Average (AVR) of 2.246.

Mahavir House: Followed closely with an AVR of 2.209.

Vivekananda House: Secured the third position with an AVR of 2.205.

Buddha House: Held the fourth position with an AVR of 1.552.

Dayanand House: Concluded in the fifth position with an AVR of 1.500.

 

Senior Section:

 Patanjali House: Took the top position with an average score of 2.239.

 Vyas House: Earned the second position with an average score of 2.016.

 Kanad House: Secured the third position with an average score of 1.888.

 Katayayan House: Followed in the fourth position with an average score of 1.595.

 Panini House: Concluded in the fifth position with an average score of 1.125.

11. Dr. Amarjeet Singh General Science Trophy Test 23-24 Report:On October 31, 2023, the Dr. Amarjeet Singh General Science Trophy Test was conducted at the Sr. Section academic block. A total of 175 students from class 9th and 10th, representing various schools including BET schools, Ceeri Vidya Mandir, and Bal Niketan Sr. Sec. School, actively participated.

During the test, students tackled 100 MCQ questions covering mental ability, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology, all based on the class 9th and 10th syllabus. The evaluation for the test is scheduled for November 8, 2023, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at BPS Pilani.

This competition provides an opportunity for students to exhibit their knowledge and skills in the field of science and mathematics while promoting healthy competition among students from different schools.

12. Birla Public School Annual Day Report 2023-24:Birla Public School, Pilani, commemorated its 79th Annual Day on November 3, 2023, featuring a two-part celebration:

Outdoor Programme (9:30 am - 12:00 pm): Held at the junior Playground.

545 students participated, showcasing March Past, Band Display, Yoga, Karate, Archery, Mass Display, and exhibitions in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Wood Craft, and Metal Craft.

Indoor Programme (05:00 pm - 08:30 pm): Conducted in Vijay Hall.

303 boys participated in activities including Invocation, Ganesh Stuti, Orchestra, Hindi Skit, English Skit, and Folk Dance.

Highlights: Dr. George Jacob, a BPS alumnus, was the Chief Guest, awarding students for their outstanding participation during the 2022-23 session.

The Annual School Magazine was unveiled by distinguished guests, and a new Varun Sehgal Award for Academic Excellence was introduced. Master Prathmesh Kumar received the award, and Ms. Ayushi Verma was honored with the Varun Sehgal Scholarship Award.

The School Captain, Mr. Vasu Saxena, delivered the Vote of Thanks.

Old Boys Day was celebrated on November 4, 2023, from morning to late evening.

Report on Round Square ZOOM Postcard (Nov.1, 2023):-Our students of grade VII, Lokesh Mohil, Harshit Shrivastava, Virat Kukreti, Kunwar Karni Singh Rathore, Chinmay Joshi, Ranvijay Balyan and Animesh have participated in the International Round Square zoom postcard organized by Sunbeam School Suncity on November 1, 2023.at 3:00 pm on the theme “Past echoes: Rediscovering the roots.” The students from around the world participated to explore the vibrant and diverse culture in India and shared their own ideas and experiences about their family legacy, values and traditions. There were 70 participants from three countries India, South Africa and UAE.

The students exchanged their culture in the form of values associated with their festivals, foods , clothes and languages etc. They enhanced their knowledge and expressed their views on the topic.

 September  2023

 1.       Report on " Assessment of Birla Public School,Pilani by Adhayayn Quality Defined".:- An outside organisation called "Adhayayn Quality Defined" has evaluated the quality of Birla Public School in Pilani. The evaluation procedure took place between September 4, 2023, and September 9, 2023. The team of five Adhyayan employees, led by Mr. Spooky, was augmented by five students and fifteen instructors from Birla Public School, Pilani. Four teams in all were formed. The other two teams were for boarding, and two teams were for the school review. The team's leader, Mr. Spooky, assured everyone that the director of BET, Pilani, would be informed of the inspection's findings.

2.       Interhouse Swimming Competition:- On September 8, 2023, there was a swimming competition between the houses. Patanjali House, Guru Nanak House, and Kumar House took first place, while Vyas, Vivekanand House, and Bal House took second place. Kanad House, Mahavir House, and Kishore House took third place. Panini and Buddha House took fourth place. Katayayan and Dayanand House took fifth place.The winners of the contest were chosen to be Ayush Rai (sr. Sec.), Rishav (mid. Sec.), Tejashv and Mohak Gupta (jr. Sec.).

3.       BET Teachers’ Day Celebrations: - Teachers’ Day was celebrated as every year on September 5th 2023, the children acted as teachers and authorities for the day and presented a cultural program for the teachers of their respective sections.

4.       Inter School Poetry Recitation Competition: In the Inter School Poetry Recitation Competition held at Birla School Pilani on 8th September, 2023 in the senior category, Akhil Nadia of class 10 Mahavir House got second position and Partha Kawra of class 9 (MH) got third position. 

5.       Shri Krishan Janamashtami Celebration : On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Godhuli was organized from 6:00 pm onwards in which students of classes 9 to 11 participated.  In this, the students of Middle Section presented a bhajan and a student of class 11 gave his speech on this occasion.  Shri Virendra Tiwari expressed his views on this occasion in English and Shri Atul Kumar Mishra also expressed his views related to the life of Shri Krishna.  In the end the headmaster gave blessings.

            Maths Boot Camp By UNMATH : From September 11 to September 13, Unmath hosted a maths boot camp in the senior section's AV room. The math discussion was conducted by Divyansi and Elina in two groups. Classes 6-7 are included in group 1 (Alpha), while classes 8–9 are included in group 2 (Beta). A total of 90 pupils participated—30 and 60 in each category.

Specifics of the meeting.

Day 1: The programme was introduced, and several activities were held. Students were expected to investigate and clarify the application of mathematics to numerous aspects of daily life, including business, marketing, and travel. Design thinking was the topic of the second exercise. Students were given the task of designing a cycle, adding features to make it more user-friendly and compatible, and selling it using mathematical ideas. The third activity focused on brands and covered the mathematics related to brands (marketing, goods, data science, statistics). The activities were enjoyable, and the students took part with enthusiasm.

Day 2 comprises a practise session and an introduction to the framework for the mathematical debate. The kids were given several topics and study materials, and they then talked for three minutes on each topic. Introduction, which had some mathematical content, took one minute. Rebuttal took another minute, and the conclusion took yet another minute. The topics included travel, markets, cuisine, architecture, and businesses, among others. The activity allowed students to express their thoughts and understand the mathematical theories behind the various themes. The topics for the last discussion brought the day to a close. These ideas must be developed independently by the students.

Day 3: The final discussion round was held between the seven teams in   the alpha group and the ten teams in the beta group. This round's focus was on sports. An hour-long practise session was held before the final discussion. Each team's students took turns speaking on the assigned topic and sharing their thoughts on how mathematics plays a role in sports. The titles of math engineer, oral interpreter, engagement speaker, and storyteller were given to the finest speakers in both categories based on the students' performances.

 Each child received a certificate of participation. Overall, the exercise was very instructive and helped the students comprehend the numerous mathematical principles in their everyday lives. It also encouraged them to express their thoughts and resolve any questions they had about the use of mathematics in everyday life.

 Hindi Diwas Celebration 2023-24:- On September 14, 2023, in the Montessori Hall of the Junior Wing, events celebrating Hindi Diwas included the recitation of Hindi poetry and extempore (Open Category). The kids heard a presentation from Mr. Madan Murari Sharma on the significance of Hindi Diwas. These activities drew participants from grades 5 through 8.In the morning assembly, students in grades V–VI (Shishu Griha) sang a charming song about the value of Hindi. Students discussed the biographies of notable authors who wrote in the Hindi language, including Munshi Premchand, Jai Shankar Prasad, Mahadevi Verma, Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Suryakant Tripathi Nirala, Hari Shankar Parsai, Hajari Prasad Dwiwedi, and others. The event's chairperson was Mrs. Meenakshi Gaur, Headmistress Junior Section. She spoke to the pupils, imparting her knowledge. The entire event was seen by every employee. The event's anchors were Chinmay Joshi and Anay Pratap. Mr. Madan Murari Sharma offered a vote of gratitude for the event's smooth execution.

1.      Inter BET School Patriotic Song Competition: Held on August 12th, 2023, in Vijay Hall at Birla Public School Pilani. A total of 56 students from BPS Jr. Section participated in both the Junior Hindi Song and Junior Regional Song categories. Birla Public School, Pilani, secured first position in the Junior Hindi song competition and second position in the Junior Regional song competition.

2.      Independence Day Celebration: Celebrated on August 15th, 2023, in the Junior playground of Birla Public School, Pilani. Capt. Alokesh Sen, Chief Executive, hoisted the flag and addressed students and staff. The celebration featured participation from NCC, Scouts, Band, and Civil troops, and concluded with a captivating band display by students.

3.      Rakshabandhan Celebration: Rakshabandhan was celebrated on August 30th, 2023, in Montessori Hall. The program commenced with a Pooja ceremony, followed by teachers tying Rakhis to all students. Mr. Kailash Sharma delivered a talk on the importance of Rakshabandhan, and Mrs. Meenakshi Gaur, Headmistress Birla Public School Jr. Sec., addressed the students, concluding the program with the distribution of sweets.

4.      BET Inter School IT Fest 2023-24 - On August 26, 2023, BPS successfully conducted the IInd IT FEST, the first offline event of its kind. Five BET schools participated: BPSP, BBVP, BSV, BSPRW, BSPDW, and BPSK. Eighty-four participants competed in eight events with no internet access, ensuring fairness.Winners received cash prizes: Rs. 1000 (1st), Rs. 700 (2nd), and Rs. 500 (3rd) in each event. 5.      Cyber Security Week: The school celebrated Cyber Security Week from August 21 to 26, 2023, with various activities aimed at raising digital safety awareness.On Monday, a Poster/Chart Making Competition took place. Dev Soriya (X-F) and Adarsh Vaibhbav (IX E) from Buddha House secured first place, Abhiraj Chohal (IX-B) and Kulbhushan Sable (IX-F) from Gurunanak House took second, and Prince Budania (IX-B) and Raghav Goenka (X-C) from Buddha House claimed third.On Tuesday, Mahavir House screened a video on Cyber Safety and Security during the morning assembly.Wednesday featured an Online Computer Quiz with Gurunanak House in first place, Mahavir House in second, and Vivekananda House in third.Thursday included a Power Point Presentation on Cyber Safety & Security during the morning assembly.The week concluded on Friday with a website designing competition. Mahavir House secured first place, Vivekananda House took second, and Gurunanak House secured third.The Cyber Security Week educated students on online safety while showcasing their talents in various cyber-related fields.

6.      Inter-House Soccer Tournament: The Inter-House Soccer Tournament for the senior secondary section took place from July 29, 2023, to August 3, 2023. A total of 8 matches were played on a League cum Knockout basis among the 5 houses. In the final match, Guru Nanak House faced off against Mahaveer House, with Guru Nanak House emerging victorious with a score of 2-1. The house positions are as follows: Vivekananda House secured the 5th position, Dayanand House took 4th place, Buddha House claimed 3rd place, Mahaveer House secured 2nd place, and Guru Nanak House clinched the 1st position. Individual awards were presented to recognize outstanding performances, with Soumik Pal (IX BH) receiving the Emerging Player award, Aryan Kumar (IX MH) as the Best Midfielder, Arsh Aarya (IX) as the Best Defender, Chitraaksh Kumar (XI GH) as the Best Player, and Abnav Prasad (IX GH) as the Best Goalkeeper.

7.       Inter-House Library Quiz: The Inter-House Library Quiz, organized in the Middle Section Library for class IX and X students on August 11, 2023, saw a spirited competition. Master Dhruv Agrawal (X-E) and Master Atharava Singh (X-E) served as quiz masters, while Mr. Ajeet Singh scored and declared the results. The house positions for the Library Quiz were as follows: Gurunanak House secured 1st place, Vivekanand House came in 2nd, Mahavir House claimed 3rd, Buddha House took 4th place, and Dayanand House secured the 5th position. Participants from class IX-X were recognized for their participation, showcasing their knowledge and enthusiasm in the competition.

8.      I nter-Institutional BET Patriotic Song Competition: The Inter-Institutional BET Patriotic Song Competition was a remarkable event held on August 12, 2023, in Vijay Hall. BPS emerged as the overall champions for the 2023-24 season, showcasing their dedication and talent in the realm of patriotic songs.

9.      Inter-House Hindi Debate and Poetry Recitation Competition (2023-24): On August 18, 2023, at Vijay Hall of Birla Public School Pilani, an Inter-House Poetry Recitation Aptitude and Hindi Debate Competition took place. In the poetry recitation category, Mahavir House secured the 1st position, followed by Buddha House in 2nd place, and Vivekanand House in 3rd place. Individually, Parth Kabra was the 1st position holder, Jayas Vaibhav secured the 2nd position, and Ashish Agrawal claimed the 3rd position. In the inter-house Hindi debate, Mahaveer House took the 1st place, followed by Vivekananda House in 2nd place, and Guru Nanak House in 3rd place. On an individual level, Aishwarya Agrawal emerged as the 1st position holder, Ratan Gupta secured the 2nd position, and Bhavin Bhandari claimed the 3rd position. These competitions showcased the students' eloquence and debating skills while recognizing excellence in Hindi literature.

10. IPSC GK Test: All students of BPS enthusiastically participated in the IPSC GK Test held on August 17-18, 2023, in the language lab, demonstrating their knowledge and awareness on a wide range of general knowledge topics.

11. Inter-House Sanskrit Shloka Recitation Competition: The International Sanskrit Shlokochcharan competition held on August 17, 2023, showcased the talents of students from different houses. Stotras were recited with precision and devotion. In the junior section, Mahavir Sadan secured the 1st position, followed by Vivekananda Sadan in 2nd place and Dayanand Sadan in 3rd place. The senior section presented 'Gangashtakam,' with Birla International School, Kishangarh securing 1st place, Birla Balika Vidyapeeth in 2nd place, and Vidya Niketan, Birla Public School in 3rd place. The students' ability to memorize complex psalms was commendable, and the competition received appreciation from school authorities.

12. Inter-Institutional Sanskrit Shloka Recitation Competition: The inter-school Sanskrit verse recitation competition, held on August 23, 2023, on a virtual platform, witnessed participation from 25 schools across the country and abroad. In the junior category, 'Charpatpanjarika' was recited, with Birla International School, Kishangarh securing 1st place. In the senior category, 'Gangashtakam' was presented, with Birla Balika Vidyapeeth securing 2nd place and Vidya Niketan, Birla Public School securing 3rd place. The students' ability to memorize and recite complex psalms was indeed commendable. Distinguished guests, including Major General Shri S.S. Nair (AVSM), Director of Birla Education Trust, and Capt. Alokesh Sen, Chief Executive Officer of the school, graced the occasion.

13. Evacuation Drill: On August 25 and 27, 2023, evacuation drills were conducted in the Middle Section, and senior  section ensuring preparedness and safety measures for students and staff.

14. Mayo College Football Tournament: The School Soccer team (U-19) participated in the Mayo Football Tournament, held in Mayo College Ajmer from August 23 to 27, 2023. The team played two matches in the league, winning the first against Mayoor School Chopasni, Jodhpur (03-01), and losing the second to RMS Ajmer (02-03). Despite the loss, they qualified for the knockout stage quarter-finals, where they faced Emerald Heights International School, Indore.

15. NCC Naval Camp: A 10-day/night camp of Naval Cadets was conducted in BPS Pilani from August 16 to 25, 2023. The camp involved various activities, including morning PT, drill classes, NCC subjects, games, debates, and cultural programs. Cadets also received training in weapon handling, learned about the NCC organization, and participated in competitions, including obstacle course races, drill competitions, and more. The camp provided valuable exposure to leadership skills and community service under the NCC program.

16. BET Inter-Institutional Football Tournament: The Senior football team participated in the Inter-BET football tournament from August 19 to 21, 2023. They qualified for the finals after league matches, defeating BSP (1-0) and BSV (7-0). In the finals, BPS emerged victorious against BSP with a score of 5-0, securing the champions' title for the year 2023 & 2024. Several students received individual recognition, including Master Abnav Prasad (Best Goalkeeper), Master Pushkar Singh (Best Defender), and Master Chera Karlin (Best Player).

Round Square Conference: Students including Master Chinmay Joshi, Master Pushkar Rai, Master Ranvijay Baliyan, Master Karni Singh, Master Ahaan Sseth, and Soham Kumar, accompanied by teacher Incharge Mrs. Narottama Sharma, attended a Round Square conference themed "Dream, Believe and Achieve" from August 17th to August 22nd at The Sunbeam School Lahartara Varanasi. Thirty-three schools from around the world participated in the conference. Students engaged in various activities, group discussions on nature conservation, and presentations on aspects like dreaming, planning, achieving, and building self-confidence.

1.       T he IPSC Handball Team Under 17 Boys: The IPSC Handball Team under 17 Boys participated in the 66 SGFI Nationals held in Delhi from 5th to 11th June 2023. The team was selected after a trial conducted by BPS Pilani, comprising 15 players from Birla Public School and YPS Mohali. Ms. Atishi Marlena, the Education Minister of Delhi, was the chief guest at the opening ceremony, where 28 teams competed in the tournament. The IPSC team was placed in a pool with teams from Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, and Chandigarh. Unfortunately, the team couldn't secure a win in the pool matches. The the team was guided by coaches Mr. Sukhpal Tanwar and Mr. Rasvir Singh.

2.       All India IPSC Tournament at Genisis School Noida: Birla Public School Pilani's under 17 Boys Tennis Team participated in the All India IPSC Tournament at Genisis School Noida from 5th to 7th July 2023. Five students represented the school and performed well, reaching the quarter-finals. The team expressed gratitude to the Chief Executive for providing the opportunity to participate in this prestigious tournament.

3.       BPS MUN (Model United Nations) 2023: Birla Public School Pilani organized Model United Nations 2023 from 10th to 13th July. The event had 134 delegates from 7 schools participating in debates on global issues in 6 committees. The event was graced by Captain Alokesh Sen as the chief guest during the closing ceremony. The winners of various committees included Harshaj Singh (UNSC), Priya Salecha (WHO), Pari Salecha (UNCSW), Apoorva Singh (UNHRC), Maitri Bohra (UNGA), and Karan Chaudhary (G-20). Vatsal Gaur and Aditya Bhardwaj served as General Secretary and Deputy General Secretary, respectively, under the leadership of Mr. Simanchal Nayak.

4.       Workshop at CEERI on "Celebration of Rastriya Boudhik Sampada Mahotsav": On July 11, 2023, 40 students from BPS visited CEERI Pilani to attend a workshop on "Celebration of Rastriya Boudhik Sampada Mahotsav" as part of the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" initiative by the Government of India. The workshop began with a documentary introducing CSIR Pilani and its research work in various fields such as agriculture, pharma, and social issues like water, milk, soil, and social security. The second session featured Dr. Neeraj, the Principal Scientist of the IP unit, who addressed the students and explained the concept, features, and importance of Intellectual Property, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and taglines. The students actively participated in discussions, asking questions about patents and copyrights' tenure, fees, eligibility, and ownership. After the informative sessions, the students had the opportunity to visit the museum showcasing various innovations developed by CEERI Pilani. The visit was followed by refreshments at the CEERI canteen, and the students returned to their school after an enriching and insightful experience.

5.       BPS PHYSPO (Physics and Sports Interdisciplinary Project): Birla Public School Pilani successfully organized the PHYSPO interdisciplinary project, a three-day event held from 17th to 19th July 2023. The project focused on exploring the connections between Physics and Sports, specifically Football, Cricket, Swimming, and Volleyball. Participating schools included Sunbeam School Lahartara, Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya Gwalior, Modern School Barakhamba Road, Ram Ratan Vidya Mandir Mumbai, Daly College Indore, Step by Step School Noida, Birla Balika Vidyapeeth Pilani, and Birla School Pilani, along with 52 students from Birla Public School Pilani. The event's inauguration was attended by prominent personalities, including Dr. Sudhirkumar Barai (Director, Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences), and Maj. Gen. S.S. Nair AVSM (Director, Birla Education Trust Pilani), along with Capt. (IN) Alokesh Sen (Retd.), Chief Executive BPS Pilani, and other dignitaries. The project was perfectly aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and showcased an interdisciplinary approach to education. The students attended theoretical sessions, solved booklets, and applied their knowledge practically under the guidance of sports coaches. The event concluded with students presenting their learning outcomes through PowerPoint presentations, highlighting Birla Public School's commitment to holistic education and promoting interdisciplinary learning.

6.       Inter-House Football Tournament (Junior Section): The Inter-house football tournament for the junior section started on 15th July 2023. All five houses participated in the tournament, and SHISHU Grih-1 emerged as the winner in the kids' category. In the junior category, the positions of the other houses were: 1st - BAL HOUSE, 2nd - KISHORE HOUSE, and 3rd - KUMAR HOUSE. Individual performance recognitions included Swamai and Kriday as the most disciplined players, Abhishek Panjiyar as the best scorer, Jyotbir Grewal as the best goal-keeper, Priyanshu as the best defender, Prince as the player of the tournament, and Taba Path and Samar Pratap as emerging players.

7.       Inter-House English Poetry Recitation Competition: An Inter-house English Poetry Recitation Competition was conducted on 15th July 2023 in the Montessori Hall at 12:00 pm. English teachers prepared the students for the competition, and six students were selected from each class to participate. They were judged based on parameters like intonation, pronunciation, voice modulation, and overall presentation. The results of the competition were as follows:

8.       Inter-School Online Literary Challenge: The Inter-School ONLINE Literary Challenge for Junior School was conducted from 23rd July to 25th July 2023. The challenge was organized by Sunbeam School, Annapurna-Varanasi, and included different events for various age groups. The school participated in events like "The Duologues - Storytelling with Puppetry Challenge," "Multi-Format Debates Challenge," "Lone Wolf General Quiz Challenge," "Exploratorium - Visual Arts Challenge," and "The Living Newspaper Performance Project Challenge."

9.       Inter-BET English Pentangular Competition: The Inter-BET English Pentangular Competition was conducted on 22nd July 2023. A total of 35 students participated in the Junior Category event, 10 each from grade VI, VII, and VIII in Closed Category, and 05 students participated in the Dictation Open Category. 10.   Inter-House Senior Section Volleyball Tournament 2023-24: The Inter-House Senior Section Volleyball tournament was held at Birla Public School, Pilani, from 21st to 24th July 2023. Five teams participated in the tournament, and the final match was played between Katyayan House and Vyas House. Vyas House emerged as the winner with a 2-0 set victory. Individual performances were recognized, with Jatin (Vyas House) as the Best Player, Hari Om Rai (Katyayan House) as the Best Setter, Pranay Tanwar (Vyas House) as the Best Attacker, Pratik (Katyayan House) as the Best Blocker, and Harsehej Singh (Kanad House) as the Best Server. The final standings were: 1st position - Vyas House, 2nd position - Katyayan House, 3rd position - Kanad House, 4th position - Patanjali House, and 5th position - Panni House.

11.   Story Writing Activity: A story-making and writing activity were organized in the junior section library of the school in the month of July. Students from class V to class VIII participated in the activity under the guidance of Mr. Laxmi Shankar.

12.   IPSC Soccer (U-17): The school's Soccer team (U-17) participated in the IPSC Tournament under the captaincy of Master Pushkar Singh (XII) & Vikrant Chhikara. The tournament was held at Emerald Heights International School Indore (MP) from 17th to 22nd July 2023. The team played two matches, with the first match being a draw against Lowrance School Shanawar (2-2). The second match was played against RMS Chahel, and the team lost by 4-0. Unfortunately, due to only one point, they couldn't qualify for the next round of quarter-finals. However, one of the students, Master Aman Chhikara, was selected for SGFI National.

13.   Inter-House Book Cover Design Competition: The Inter-House Book Cover Design Competition was organized by Mid. Sec. Library for students of class IX and X. The competition was held from 17th to 22nd July 2023. Students from each section participated in groups of up to four students on the theme: "The cultural and environmental differences between Rajasthan and Nagaland." 14.   RS Zoom Postcard from Step By Step School: Students Aarav Bhatnagar, Arnav Jain, Aman Tebriwal, Rishabh Singh, Rishit Goel, and RS Representative Ms. Varsha Ratta participated in the RS Zoom postcard from Step By Step School with the theme "Service: Making the world a better place." The event took place on Wednesday, July 26th, 2023, at 5:30 pm IST and brought together around 120 participants from schools in 4 countries - India, Kenya, Pakistan, and South Africa.

 

 

 

June 2023

1. REPORT ON IDE BOOTCAMP:-Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp was organized by Ministry of Education and AICTE at six different locations throughout the country from 22nd June to 26th June 2023. BPS Pilani also participated in this Bootcamp, One Teacher Mr. Alok Marwal PGT Physics and two students Master Akshat Kaushik and Master Rishit Goel of class XII attended this at National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) Institute Chandigarh. This Bootcamp gave our students insights into the different modules like Need for Design thinking, Customer Persona, Funds and Lean canvas required for students about the Startups and Entrepreneurship. This program was a part of School Innovation Ambassador program and School Innovation Council.

2. ABU REKHAN BERUNY INTERNATIONAL CHEMISTRY OLYMPIAD:-Rishit Goel,Jay Mandal,Harsh Kumar,Rishabhh Jain along with Mr. Ratan Vadapalli participated in ABU REKHAN BERUNY International Chemistry Olympiad A total of 15 counties participated in this Olympiad and it was combination of academic and cultural trip. The syllabus for Olympiad was more of IB( international Baccalaureate) curriculum. Though our students found it tough they did well to get a rank of 82 out of 120 participants. It was a combination of theory and practical assessment. And our students performed better in practical assessment. Our team is pioneer as we took part in first ever Olympiad hosted by Uzbekistan.Students got very good exposure as they got understand cultures of 15 different countries. They got to interact with professors and Olympiad winners of different countries.

3. IPSC TENNIS TOURNAMENT 2023:- Birla Public School Pilani Tennis Team under 17 Boys team participated in All India IPSC Tournament held at Genisis School Noida from 5 July to7 July 2023 Our 5 students participated in the tournament and reached up to quarter finals and put a very good performance.We are great to our Chief executive for giving us ab opportunity to take part in such a prestigious tournament.

4. 66 SGFI NATIONAL GAMES HANDBALL UNDER 17 BOYS:- IPSC Handball Team under 17 Boys participated in 66 SGFI Nationals held at Delhi from 5 June to 11 June 2023 A selection trial for IPSC team was conducted by BPS PILANI ON 26th May .And a team consist of 15 players was selected , 10 students from Birla public school and 05 students were selected from Yps Mohali. A five days camp was organized at Birla public school, Pilani for the team.In opening ceremony ,the chief guest was Ms Atishi Marlena education minister of Delhi and the total number of teams partcipated in tournament were 28.The teams were divided in 8 pools and IPSC team was placed with Uttrakhand, Andhra Pradesh and Chandigarh. The team was escorted by the team coach Mr. Sukhpal Tanwar and Mr. Rasvir singh

RS ZOOM POSTCARD FROM REDLANDS SCHOOL IN AUSTRALIA :-Our students Rishit Goel, Aman Tebriwal,Harsh,Ishaan,Swayam and Deepanshu along with the RS Rep Varsha Ratta participated in the RS Zoom Postcard from Redlands School in Australia with the theme “One ocean. One climate. One future - together” The 60-minute call took place on Wednesday June 7th at 3:40pm Sydney (GMT+10) and brought together 80 participants from 16 schools in 5 countries (Australia, China, India, Kenya, and South Africa).

6. RS ZOOM POSTCARD FROM ST STITHIANS GIRLS’ COLLEGE IN SOUTH AFRICA:- Our Students Deepanshu, Rishabh Singh, Aman Tiberiwal, and Swyam Bharitya along with the RS Rep Varsha Ratta participated in the RS Zoom Postcard from St Stithians Girls’ College in South Africa with the theme “Different Types of Democracies”. The 90-minute call took place on Wednesday 21st June at 3:30pm South Africa (GMT+2) and brought together around 80 participants from 16 schools in 7 countries (Argentina, Brazil, China, India, Kenya, Peru and South Africa).

1. 1ST MAY LABOUR DAY CELEBRATION:- The school celebrated the International Labour day on 1st May 2023 , the students distributed mid-day food to the 4th grade workers of the school, The senior teachers and headmaster BPS was the part of the program.

2. BPS CAREER FAIR 2023:- BPS organized a career fair in the school, the fair was open for all the BET schools. 40 renowned universities from India and abroad participated in the program. The program gave an exposure to the students of class IX-XII about the career possibilities and available courses after the class XII. The university representatives also addressed the students in Vijay Hall.

3. SUNDARKAND PATH IN BPS CAMPUS:- A sundarkand path was organized in BPS campus mandir on 9th May 2023. 10 students form each house participated in the program. The staff families along with the CE, HM and the 1st Lady of BPS performed the puja for the betterment and wellbeing of the school.

4. VISIT TO MG HERITAGE WATER PARK: On Sunday, May 7, 2023, 253 pupils and 14 staff from the Secondary School visited MG Heritage Water Park. Breakfast and lunch were of high quality, which students and faculty appreciated.

1- RS ZOOM POSTCARD BY ASHBURY COLLEGE, CANADA: -Prerak Poonia, Heer Kunal Pandya, Marv Agrawal, Prakhar Krishnatray, Mrityunjay Vishnoi, and Raunak Somani of grade VIII, together with Ms.Priyanka Tomar, took part in the RS Zoom Postcard held by Ashbury College, Canada on May 3,2023, with the question "What are the dangers of Social Media among teens?" The event drew 150 students from 24 schools in ten nations (Argentina, Armenia, Bangladesh, Canada, Germany, India, Oman, Pakistan, South Africa, and the United States). The students explored social media disinformation, expectation vs reality, the consequences of excessive social media use, how to protect oneself from phishing emails, and other topics.

4- WORLD WISE CONVERSATION HOSTED BY THE BRITISH SCHOOL NEW DELHI IN INDIA :-Our students Amrit Anand and Yashvardhan Pandey along with the RS Rep Varsha Ratta participated in the World Wise Conversation hosted by The British School New Delhi in India with the theme "Bread for every breath.The 90-minute call took place on Friday 26th May at 3 pm IST and will bring together around 100 participants from 18 schools in 6 countries (Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa, UAE and UK). We make the time conversion to be 10:30 am in London, 11:30 am in Cape Town, 1:30pm in Dubai, 2 30 pm in Karachi, and 7:30 pm in Sydney.

1- NEW STUDENTS' INDUCTION PROGRAMME: -

On April 2, 2023, the newly accepted students arrived. The following activities were organised to help students acclimatise to their new surroundings and become familiar with the school site.

Particularly, the students relished their excursions to the Pahari Temple, Museum, and Eco Park. The students were paired up with peers, and the teachers led them to their designated locations. The children form a unique camaraderie during excursions and outings, and they enjoy each other's company.

Eloquence, in addition to the visits, was scheduled in the Montessori Hall. Each student gave a brief introduction, outlining their strengths and aspirations for the school. For the benefit of the students' enjoyment, musical evenings were planned. They gave it their all and were happy to be a part of such events.

2- THEATRE WORKSHOP FOR JUNIOR SECTION:

Mr. Neeraj from Lucknow organized a 15-day theatre workshop for the junior division kids at Birla Public School, Pilani from April 11 to April 24, 2023. The session was attended by 74 pupils overall, ranging in grade from V to VIII. The musical play "Ghudsawar Matadeen" was presented by students during the closing ceremony, in front of the students and instructors from all three sections.

After participating in this theatre workshop, students improved and developed a variety of skills, including collaboration, teamwork, communication, and confidence, in a fun and interesting way.

3- BOTANICAL RELIEF ART WORKSHOP FOR JUNIOR SECTION: -

Mr. Mukesh Singh, Mr. Pravin Kedar, and Ms. Ashwini Kedar organised a workshop on botanical relief art for the children in Classes V through VIII at Birla Public School Pilani from April 12 through April 24, 2023. 54 students in all attended this programme. Students gained knowledge on "how to preserve the beauty of the outdoors into a piece" during this course. Students plaster relief casting was used to learn how to capture the finest details that nature has to give.

4- MUSIC WORKSHOP FOR JUNIOR SECTION: -

A Music workshop was organized at Birla Public School junior section, Pilani from 15th April to 24th April 2023 for the students of Class V to VIII under the guidance of Dr. Vijay Laxmi, Mr. K.K. Surothiya and Ms. Radha Sharma. Total 27 students participated in this workshop. The workshop was organized in the music room of junior section. In this workshop students learned "techniques of vocal practice" and "Song of the season Basant" and one mother song for "Mother’s day".

5- DESIGN THINKING IMPLEMENTATION COURSE FROM CLASSES VI TO VIII:-

BPS PILANI successfully launched the Design Thinking Implementation Course from classes 6 to 8 under the supervision of the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell. DTI course was attended by 66 students from grades 6 to 8. From the 17th to the 23rd of April 2023, they were trained by Mr. Kailash Sharma, Mr. Rahul Sharma, Mr. Rahul Tiwari, and Ms. Shivangi Sharma. Students went to Pilani Market to see the issues that ordinary people encounter in the market area, and they came up with solid recommendations and conducted research on their selected problem statement. The goal of this DTI course is to ignite young minds and provide insight into Innovative Thinking Skills. The students displayed their 3D models at Vijay Hall, which were successfully created using low-cost materials or the best from waste. Students are also creating a powerpoint presentation to address the issue statements in accordance with the SDG Goals.

6- ENGLISH CALLIGRAPHY COMPETITION :-

The English Calligraphy Competition was held on Saturday, April 15, 2023. All students in grades V-VIII took part in the Calligraphy competition to improve their calligraphy abilities and handwriting.

7- EARTH DAY CELEBRATION :-

Earth Day was observed on Saturday, April 29th. The following activities were held at the school. Online test for grades V-VIII. All the pupils took part in accordance with the timetable established for the quiz. Writing paragraphs/essays was done in the individual English classes. For grades V-VI, write a paragraph on My Mother Earth (60 words).For grades VII-VIII, write an essay on the theme - I restore my planet via my efforts (100 words).Poster making competitions were held in their respective classes during the last four sessions. 'My Beautiful Planet' is the topic for grades V and VI. Rangoli, my gift to nature, is a topic for grades VII and VIII. A competition was held for the students chosen from each home. 8- LIVING NEWSPAPER ENACTMENT EVENT :-

On April 29th, the English Department of Birla Public School Pilani hosted a Living Newspaper Enactment Event in Vijay Hall. This was the first of its kind. It was designed to improve children's dramatic and creative abilities. Around 40 students took part in the event. Students' efforts were outstanding. The event showcased a variety of hidden talents and future students. 9-ALL INDIA BOXING TOURNAMENT: All India boxing tournament was held at Rashtriya Military School Dholpur from 17.04.2023 to 20.04.2023. 17 students at our school participated in tournament and won 11 medals 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 5 Bronze medals and overall stood on 3rd position out of 10 schools participated.

10-FRESHERS ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMME : The freshers party for class 9th and 10th was organised on April 15, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Vijay Hall. The chief guest for the occasion was Chief Executive Capt. (IN) Alokesh Sen, Headmaster BPS Mr S.K. Baral, DOPC Mr S.N. Tyagi, Bursar BPS also attended the function. The students from all the houses showed their talent on the stage and impressed the audience. The chief guest thanked and congratulated all the new students for their active participation.

11- RS POSTCARD FROM BRITISH OVERSEAS SCHOOL IN PAKISTAN:- Our students from Junior section along with Ms. Narottma Sharma participated in RS Zoom Postcard on the theme of “Ways to Speak Your Truth.” The Postcard was attended by more than 120 participants from 24 schools in 8 countries (Argentina, Armenia, Australia India, Japan, Pakistan, South Africa, and UAE).

12-RS ZOOM POSTCARD FROM CATE SCHOOL IN USA WITH THE THEME “IMMIGRATION IN A GLOBAL CONTEXT: -Our students Lakshya Dabas, Chirag Bhati,Nilesh Mehta,Manav Tyagi,Harsh Choudhary and Avinash Jangir along with the RS Rep Varsha Ratta participated in RS Zoom Postcard from Cate School in USA with the theme “Immigration in a Global Context ”.The 60-minute call took place on Wednesday 19th April at 8am PDT (GMT -7) and will bring together around 120 participants from 24 schools in 10 countries (Argentina, Armenia, Canada, China, Colombia, India, Peru, Pakistan, UAE and USA).

1- Cultural Evening in Junior Section: - On March 27, 2023, the junior school hosted a cultural event. Students recounted their experiences from Junior Campus during Cultural Evening and performed dance, theater, songs, etc. Mrs. Meenakshi Gaur, the headmistress, encouraged the pupils and praised their performances. Through a musical performance, principal Capt. Alokesh Sen inspired the pupils. A delicious supper was served as the event's finale.

On March 28, 2023, 8th graders were moved to the centre section.

2. IPSC Band Competition:-37 students in our classroom I took part in the IPSC Band competition held at Scindia School in Gwalior on March 23 and 24, 2023. BPS Band won the runner-up prize for the 2022–2023 academic year.

3.Drama Workshop: For pupils in grades 9 through 11, our school held a drama workshop from March 28 through April 6, 2023. This class was led by Mr. Abhishek Patnaik and Mr. Suketu from OUT OF THE BOX PRODUCTION in Mumbai, two renowned drama artists. 80 pupils in all took part in this. Our pupils performed a performance in VIJAY HALL on the final day of the workshop, and everyone was impressed.

4.Bhajan/Folk Music Workshop: From March 28 to April 2, 2023, our school hosted a programme for students on Bhajan and folk music. which saw participation from 12 students from the Middle Section, 12 students from the Junior Section, and 15 students from the Senior Section. The training was split into two sections. First-year pupils studied Ram Bhajan, a condensed version of the Ramayana, and performed it in Lotus Hall on the occassion of Ram Naumi. Students learnedRajasthani folk songs in the second portion.

5.Ramnaumi Celebration: For the Junior and Middle Section students, a Godhuli celebration was held on March 30, 2023, at 18:00 in LOTUS HALL to celebrate RAMNAUMI. On this occasion, Principal BPS was the Chief Guest. Boys from the junior division opened the show with a Bhajan. Another student from class 10 spoke in front of the group and shared his ideas. The evening's keynote speaker was Mr. Manoj Kumar, who informed the pupils of the significance of Ramnaumi. Last but not least, a group of students who went the Bhajan Workshop performed Ram Bhajan (the condensed Ramayana). The sharing of prasad marked the programme's conclusion.

6.Art Workshop: From March 28 to April 2, 2023, the school held paper mache workshops for senior students in Class 11 (who were advancing to Class 12) and Kutch Art (Mud & Mirror Relief Work) for Middle Section students in Class 9 (who were advancing to Class 10). 30 Senior Section pupils took part in the paper mache exercise. They used discarded paper pulp and binders like adhesive, clay, etc. to construct a three-dimensional plate, which they painted with patterns. Additionally, 30 pupils from the Middle Section took part in lippan art, a form of Kutch art. They used mirrors to embellish their patterns, along with mud clay, paper pulp, and binders like adhesive.

7. Activities of Games and Sports Department: From 28 March to 31 March, 2023, our school's Games & Sports Department arranged a variety of activities for our students in all three divisions, including swimming, fighting, and cricket practice.

8. RS Zoom Postcard from Fountain Valley on March 8th:- Sankalp Arora, Rishabh Jain, Risit Goel, Manav Tyagi, and Purv Aggarwal are our pupils. Akarsh Mishra and the RS Representative, Ms. Varsha Ratta, took part in the "Safe spaces: Where we all belong" RS Zoom Postcard from Fountain Valley School in the United States.

The call, which lasted 90 minutes, was held on March 8 at 6 p.m. Mountain Time (GMT -7), and about 60 people from 11 institutions across four nations participated. (Australia, China, India, and USA).

9. RS Zoom Postcard from Welham Girls' School on March 15th:- Along with the RS representative Varsha Ratta, our pupils Sankalp Arora, Rishabh Singh, Rishit Goel, Aman Tibriwal, Shrestha Agarwal, and Vasu Saxena attended the event with the subject "small world, big screen: tackling global issues through the medium of films" organised by Welham Girls' School in India. The 90-minute call, which involved about 80 people from 17 institutions across five nations, took place on March 15 at 5:30 pm (IST; GMT +5h30). (India, Pakistan, Peru UK and South Africa).

10. RS Zoom Postcard from Junior & Senior High School of Kogakuin University on March 22nd:- Pranjal Bharti,Swayam Bhartiya,Laksh Dabas,Sankalp Arora Rishab Singh Kalong with thr RS rep Ms. Varsha Ratta participated in the RS Zoom Postcard from Junior & Senior High School of Kogakuin University in Japan with the theme "Comparing schooling / education systems of different countries and finding the merits and demerits of it". The 60-minute took place on Wednesday 22nd March at 8AM JST (GMT +9) and will bring together over 70 participants from 15 schools in 9 countries (Australia, Canada, China, Colombia India, Japan, Pakistan, Peru, USA ).

11. RS postcard hosted by Dhorubhai Ambani International School.Mumbai :- Our students Mohak,Lokesh,Ansh Raj Singh,Priyansh Jainand ,Arav along with Dr. Vijaylaxmi attended the RS postcard hosted by Dhorubhai Ambani International School.Mumbai on the theme "Music and Mood". The Postcard was attended by over 175 participants from 19 schools in 8 countries (Armenia, Argentina, Brazil, India, Bangladesh, Oman, Pakistan, and South Africa)

2- SCIENCE WEEK IN BPS: On the occasion of Science week celebration in BPS, an Inter House Science Demonstration activity was conducted by Mr. Rahul Sharma at AV room senior section on 26th February 2022.

5 boys of class X from each house of the middle section participated in this activity.

Videos of different science experiments were shown to participating teams. On the basis of these videos the teams prepared and tried to present their respective presentation through their own innovative approach.

On the basis of their presentation, scientific temperament and practical application , the teams were judged and awarded position.

ROUND SQUARE ACTIVITIES:-

1- ROUND SQUARE FRENCH LANGUAGE LAB:-

Ten students of Birla Public School, Pilani participated in RS French Language Lab. The first call took place on January 27 at 08:30pm IST with 55 delegates from 11 schools in 6 countries (India, Bahamas, USA, Kenya, Colombia and UAE), hosted by École Alsacienne in Paris on the topic of Cultural Norma and Stereotypes.

The second RS French Language Lab call took place on February 3 at 08:30pm IST with 54 students from 15 schools in 8 countries (Bahamas, USA, India, Canada, Colombia, UK, Switzerland and UAE). The meeting was hosted by Elaraki School on the topic of Music around the World.

The third RS French Language Lab call took place on February 10 at 08:30pm IST, hosted by Calgary French and International School on the topic Foods around the World.

Sumant, Aman Mitruka along with the RS Rep Varsha Ratta participated in RS Zoom Postcard from Providence Day School in the USA on "SDG Goal 5: Where Do You Stand? A conversation about gender".The 60-minute call took place on Wednesday, February 2nd at 12 pm EST (GMT -5h) and brought together around 120 participants from 23 schools in 9 countries (India, Armenia, USA, Canada, Colombia, France, Switzerland, South Africa and UK).

3-RS COLLABORATION ON THE TOPIC OF 'USE OF LIFE IN SCIENTIFIC STUDIES HOSTED BY CHEONGSHIM INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY, KOREA:-

Our students Vishwajeet Keshan, Aman Mitruka, Rachit Sarda, Divya Arun and Lakshya Mehta along with Mr Ratna Kumar Vadapally participated in the collaboration on the topic of 'Use of life in scientific studies hosted by Cheong Shim International Academy, Korea on 6th Feb 2022 from 2 pm to 4 pm (In Korean time). The collaboration focused on how animals or humans that have been subjected to scientific experiments have been treated, whether it should carry on, and alternatives to resume development without continuing these experiments.

4- RS ZOOM POSTCARD FROM TRANSYLVANIA COLLEGE IN ROMANIA:-Our students Sumant Kumar Suman, Aman Mitruka, Utkarsh Choudhary, Kavit Agarwal, Srish Bansal, and Rudra Pratap Singh along with RS Rep. Ms Varsha Ratta participated in RS Zoom Postcard from Transylvania College in Romania with the theme ‘Can you make an impact even if you are young?. The 90-minute call took place on Wednesday, February 23rd at 12 pm Romania (GMT +2h) and will bring together over 75 participants from 15 schools in 5 countries (Romania, India, UK, Armenia and Pakistan).

5- ROUND SQUARE INTER SCHOOL VIRTUAL COLLABORATION TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY HOSTED BY THE SHRI RAM SCHOOL, ARAVALI :-

Our students Ansh Raj Singh and Priyansh Jain ( Class V) along with Ms Priyanka Tomar attended the Junior Aravali Round Square Inter School virtual collaboration to celebrate National Science Day on Monday, 28th February 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m. hosted by The Shri Ram School, Aravali. This symposium included delegations from 12 schools in India.

6- RS ZOOM POSTCARD FROM ST CYPRIAN’S SCHOOL IN CAPE TOWN:-Our students Durgesh Kumar, Arth Chauhan, Ryan Shrivastava, Kumar Prateek, Srish Bansal, and Aman Mitruka along with RS Rep. Ms Varsha Ratta participated in the RS Zoom Postcard from St Cyprian’s School in Cape Town. The excellent Postcard examined unconscious bias. The call brought together 140 participants from 27 schools in 10 countries (India, UK, Armenia, UAE, Pakistan, Switzerland, Togo, South Africa, Bahamas and Canada).

7- IN CONVERSATION WITH VIKRAM BHATT :-Our students got a wonderful opportunity to listen to Mr Vikram Bhatt, a noted Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor on 3rd February 2022. The enriching program was hosted by the Doon School Film Society The children were enlightened about the new trends in filmmaking and the integration of technology in this field.

1- REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION:- On 26th January, 2023, 74th Republic Day was celebrated in Birla Public School Pilani. The principal Capt. Alokesh Sen hoisted the flag on the occasion. Students of NCC Army, Navy and Air troop, Scout Troop, Civil Troop and Band Group participated in March Past.

2-BHOOR SINGH MEMORIAL ART COMPETITION : Birla Public School hosted the Inter BET Schools Bhoor Singh Memorial Art Competition from Grade III to XI on 28th January 2023 on Saturday at 3:00 to 5:00 pm. in Middle Section School building. 20 students from each school has participated in the competition. The topic and size has been already given advance to different groups to open their vision to see everything out of the box and present them on paper in a creative manner. The competition was organised in four groups

RS CONFERENCE HOSTED BY HYDERBAD PUBLIC SCHOOL:-Master Jinay Jain, Master Vaibhav Gupta, Master Saket Jhalariya, Master Aryan Bindal, Master Pranav Tibrewal and Master Tejash Agarwal along with Mrs. Narottama Sharma attended a round Square conference based on the theme- “Inhale Courage, Exhale Fear “ from 22 January to 27 January. Twenty-six schools across the world participated in the conference. Our students proved themselves in the conference. They Keynote speaker was Dr.Arun Tewari a Missile scientist of India. He threw light on the importance of being courageous in life . The children performed various activates like Zip line, archery, sky cycling, wall climbing, rope climbing etc. They learnt film making at Ramoji Film studio. They participated in various group discussions on nature conservation and gave presentations on inhaling courage and developing self-confidence. The students of BPS have proved themselves by performing well in the conference.

· Post Mid Term Exams for classes V to VIII and Evaluation II for class V conducted from 10th December to 17th December, 2022.

· Pre-boards and Post Mid Terms for classes 10 and 12 and class 9 and 11 were held from 10th to 19th December,2022.

· Parents Teachers meeting was held on 21st December, 2022, in which class teachers interacted with the parents and discussed the performance of the students.

· On 20th December, 2022 students left the campus for winter vacation.

1- SPELL BEE COMPETITION: -

Spell Bee competition was conducted for classes V-VIII from 30th November to 03rd December 2022. The details of the competition are mentioned below:-

Ø There were three rounds of the competition. First two rounds were open for all. Dictation in the respective classes and Socrative quiz were conducted by respective English teachers. And the final round with selected students was held on 3rd December, Saturday from 3pm onwards.

Ø English Teachers prepared the students and provided the list of words to the students.

Ø The list of words included the words from all the Subjects including English, Maths, Social Science, Science and Computer etc.

5- VISIT TO PADADI MANDIR:-

The students of Birla Public School, Pilani visited Pahadi Temple on 19/12/2022. Total 101students along with 25 staff members had Darshan of Load Hanumaan and done chanting of Hanuman Chalisa. After taking blessings of lord Hanuman tiffin was distributed to the students at the foothills of pahadi Mandir. The students enjoyed the trip. Mr. Praveen Kumar Tanwar was the incharge of this event.

6- BIRLA SCIENCE CENTRE AND ECO PARK VISIT:-

The students of Birla Public School, Pilani visited Birla Science Centre and Eco park on 20/12/2022. A total of 65 students along with 12 staff members visited Science Gallery in which different working models are explained by different Instructor/ Guide. After the visit Tiffin was distributed to the students at Cafeteria of Birla Science Centre. The students enjoyed the trip. Mr. Praveen Kumar Tanwar was the incharge of this event.

7- IPSC FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT :-Our school’s U-19 football team participated in all India IPSC football tournament under captaincy of Master Arth Chauhan and Master Preet Rathi which was held at The Emerald Heights International School Indore from 19/12/22 to 23/12/22. Our team were qualified for semi-finals after league matches and lost semi-finals with Emerald Heights Indore by 3-1. All the students played with full efforts and gave their best performance.

8-IPSC VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT:- Our School’s U-19 team participated in all India IPSC volleyball tournament held at Sainik School Golpara from 28th to 30th December 2022, under the captaincy of Master Durgesh Kumar. The participating schools are Birla Public School, Pilani (Rajasthan), Sainik School Kunjpura (Haryana), DPS Mathura Road (Delhi), The Emerald Heights International School, Indore (Madhya Pradesh), The Assam Valley School, Tezpur (Assam) and Sainik School Goalpara, the host school. BPS won the gold in the tournament.

1- INTER-HOUSE ENGLISH DEBATE COMPETITION:-

Inter-House English Debate Competition for the session 2022-23 was conducted from7th November to 17thNovember 2022. Debate was conducted in Cambridge Pattern for Classes V-VI & VII-VIII in two categories. One group will comprise of three students as Lead Speaker, Second Speaker and Third Speaker. English Teachers briefed the students and explained the rules and procedure of the debate.
