If The Days Could Return

My childhood was a time of pure joy, thanks to my twin sisters, who were six years older than me. We were inseparable, turning every day into an adventure. They knew how to make me feel loved, and together, we made the simplest moments magical.
But as we grew older, they started dreaming of college and distant cities. One autumn morning, they left, and the house that had once been filled with laughter now felt empty. I tried to adjust, but the loneliness was undeniable. I longed to relive those days, to hear their voices and feel their warmth again.
Every year or two, they would return home, and for a brief time, it felt like nothing had changed. We would laugh, share stories, and for those fleeting days, the house was alive with the same joy I remembered. But the visits were always too short, and as soon as they arrived, they were gone again, leaving behind the familiar ache in my heart.
Though life moved on, I held on to the hope that one day, we would reunite and share those moments once more. Until then, I cherished the memories of a time when life was perfect because they were by my side.
