A Journey of Cultures, Creativity and Connection
The14 day event of AFS Domestic Cross‑Cultural Exchange Programme 2026 was a soul‑enriching journey that beautifully connected Vidya Niketan Birla Public School, Pilani with Sunbeam, Sarnath from 2nd to 15th April 2026. Ten VNBPS students, guided by two teachers, under the planning and guidance of AFS coordinator Dr. Antara Banerjee and the mentorship of the Principal Ms. Kajal Marwaha, immersed themselves in the spiritual and cultural rhythm of Varanasi, discovering its heritage through iconic visits, artistic workshops, traditional games and shared experiences that nurtured curiosity and camaraderie.
The reciprocal visit brought seven students and a teacher from Sunbeam Sarnath to Pilani, where Rajasthan unfolded through exclusive craft workshops, vibrant dance and yoga sessions, engaging sports, scientific exploration at BITS Pilani, BET TATC and a royal heritage trail at Mandawa. Treks, temple visits, cultural interactions and collaborative learning moments quietly built confidence, sensitivity and a deeper appreciation of India’s diverse ethos.
More than an exchange, the programme became a tapestry of friendships, values and memories—leaving hearts fuller, minds broader and experiences truly lifelong and enchanting.
