Birds chirping at the mango tree, neem tree, rising sun and fresh non-polluted air marks the beginning of the day at Birla Public School, Pilani. School surrounding is a living biology laboratory for the students where they grow plants water them and learn in a sustainable environment. Visiting bio lake, greenhouse at the school make the teaching learning process interactive and enjoyable. Medicinal plants collected from different areas of Rajasthan kept at green house taken care by students. Students enjoy watering them regularly and enjoy playing near bio-lake in pollution free environment. Nurturing plants in the green house and surroundings instill care for mother nature in the students. Varieties of plant species and birds visiting in the school campus makes the environment pleasing . School greenhouse is not just a place for growing plants but also develop a sense of responsibility, team work and generate curiosity for growing plants of different kind in different environmental conditions.

Irrigation methods adopted here is best suited for conserving water and students learn them by doing. Using waste water after treatment for irrigating plants and sports fields is also an innovative method adopted here. Students grow seeds, seedling, water plants, compare plant growth,check soil pH, observe changes in them make them understand better than classroom.
Conserving all natural resources for better living , enjoying nature and protecting different species develop a sustainable environment for healthy living.Various birds like peacocks, Humming birds, pheasant,pigeons, cuckoos , cranes, parrots, Maina etc and different plant species like Amla, Mango, Neem, Peepal, gulmohar, Moorpankh, roses, sunflower, tulsi, aloe vera, giloi and many more fills the colour in the school environment, develop a sense of belongingness to the school community and make the school an enjoyable place.
