My First Day at Birla Public School, Pilani
I joined Birla Public School, Pilani in June 2023, in Class IX. It was the peak of summer, and the weather was quite hot, but the excitement of beginning a new chapter in a reputed boarding school kept me motivated.
As soon as I reached the campus, I was allotted a house named Guru Nanak House and introduced to my new surroundings. I met the House Master and the Assistant House Master, and although I initially felt they might be strict, I soon realized how friendly, supportive, and caring they were.
The most emotional moment came when it was time for my parents to leave. Like every parent and student experiencing hostel life for the first time, we were emotional. After bidding them goodbye, I felt lonely and a little low. Since it was the summer break, reporting was still in progress, and only a few students had arrived on time.
It was during this time that I discovered what I believe is the best part of boarding school-friendships. I met a few students who had already reported, interacted with them, and slowly began bonding. I chose my bed and locker and initially wondered how I would manage all my belongings in a single locker, but with time, I learned that discipline and organization make everything manageable.
As I joined the school later than most students—since the academic session had begun in April—it was natural to feel new and unfamiliar. However, the warmth and friendliness of my peers helped me settle in quickly. They took me on a tour of the campus, and I was truly amazed by its beauty, serenity, and well-planned infrastructure.
Today, as a student of Class Ⅺ, I feel extremely grateful to be a part of Birla Public School, Pilani. This institution has provided me with ample opportunities for both academic and personal growth. I was among the toppers of class X, which reflects the strong academic support and guidance provided by the school.
If someone now asks me why choose BPS Pilani, I have an answer. Because of strong discipline and values, modern hostels and facilities, excellent sports infrastructure and leadership-focused education, there is no other school which can match the environment as in Birla Public School, Pilani.
Along with academics, BPS has played a crucial role in shaping me as a sportsperson. I am a national level swimmer, have represented the school at IPSC swimming competitions, and have actively participated in various events over the years.
I strongly believe that had I not joined Birla Public School, Pilani, I would not have developed the confidence, discipline, leadership qualities, and sporting excellence that I possess today. This school has truly shaped my personality and prepared me for the future.
