My Journey at Birla Public School
Joining Birla Public School in Class 11 marked one of the most transformative phases of my life.
Before coming here, I had already spent seven years in boarding school. I thought I knew what school life was all about—discipline, routine, and responsibility. But Birla Public School gave me something much deeper: growth, confidence, and purpose.
When I joined, I weighed around 137 kg and struggled with fitness and self-belief. Over the next two years—including a remarkable 37 kg weight loss achieved in just four months—I transformed both physically and mentally. This journey wasn't easy, especially after undergoing an ACL surgery, but the setbacks only strengthened my determination.
A major pillar of my progress was my basketball coach, Mr. Rupendra Singh Shekhawat, whose constant support, motivation, and belief in me pushed me to go beyond my limits. With his guidance, I not only recovered from injury but also improved my performance on the court and in life.
Basketball became more than just a sport for me—it became my teacher. In Class 12, I was honoured to serve as the Vice-Captain of the school basketball team. Over these two years, I had the opportunity to participate in numerous tournaments and proudly contribute to winning three tournaments for the school.
I also represented Birla Public School in Inter-BET Basketball for two consecutive years and competed in the CRSS Tournament, Pilani. Alongside basketball, I won medals at the Inter-BET Athletic Meet, which further strengthened my passion for sports and competition.
Academically, I was privileged to receive an Academic Award for scoring 90.33% in Class 11, reminding me that a balance between studies and sports is not only possible but powerful.
Birla Public School truly provides students with countless opportunities to grow in every direction. Although I couldn’t grab every opportunity due to the short span of time, the experiences I did gain were life-changing.
Looking back, these two years at Birla Public School have been truly amazing. From physical transformation to academic success, from injury to leadership, this school helped shape me into a stronger, more confident, and disciplined individual.
I will always remain grateful for the memories, the mentors, the teammates, and the lessons that Birla Public School has given me.
This journey will forever stay close to my heart.
Proud to be a Vinian—for life.
