From classroom walls to nature’s way,
Students learned through every passing day.
With eager hearts and spirits high,
We touched new dreams beneath the sky.

The purpose of school education is not just to provide knowledge limited to textbooks, but also to connect students with real-life experiences. In this spirit, an educational trip was organized by Birla Public School, Pilani. There were around 40 students of classes V to VII with 6 teachers to Jim Corbett National Park, Pangot, and Nainital. This trip proved to be a unique opportunity for students to learn, understand, and enjoy.
At Jim Corbett National Park, students learned the importance of biodiversity and environmental conservation by observing wildlife in their natural habitat. Staying in wooden cottages amidst nature was an extremely special and memorable experience for the students, where they experienced a simple lifestyle and peace in the natural environment. The Students  understand the balance of nature and the life cycles of living beings. In Pangot, by observing various species of birds, the children learned lessons in patience, alertness, and love for nature.
Trekking on a high hill like Tiffin Top in Nainital was an extremely thrilling experience for the students. The enchanting valleys and natural scenery visible from the summit mesmerized everyone. Lakes like Bhimtal Lake, Sattal, and Naini Lake provided the students with a better understanding of natural water sources, ecosystems, and environmental balance. All these familiarized students with the local history and traditions. Various Group activities helped develop their confidence, sense of cooperation, and leadership skills.
This trip was an excellent example of Experiential Learning, where the students stepped out of the classroom walls to gain practical knowledge. Through Hands-on Learning and Beyond Classroom Education, the children also imbibed life skills such as discipline, self-reliance, and teamwork. This journey became an inspiring and unforgettable experience for them.
