Closing Ceremony of IPSC Volleyball Tournament
The closing ceremony of IPSC Volleyball Tournament commenced at the volleyball ground of Birla Public School, Pilani at 4.45 pm on 29th April 2024. Mr Pushpendra Singh Rathore,RPS, Additional Superintendent Of Police was the chief guest of the ceremony.Col. Shokat Ali and Mr Jai Singh Dhankhand were the Guests of Honour of the ceremony . The tiny tots of the host school welcomed the chief guest and the guests of honour .The final match U-19 was between the host school BPS Pilani and Sainik School,Nagrota.BPS Pilani bagged the 1st position in U-17 category defeating BRCM Bahal by 25-19,25-14,15-25,25-19 points. BPS,Pilani became the winner of the tournament. The 3rd position was bagged by Emerald Heights International School.
Best Attacker of U-17 category was Sehaj Jain of Emerald Heights International School,Indore while Best Setter of this category was Aarsh of BRCM,Bahal.Vairnim Singh of BPS,Pilani was selected as the Best Player of this tournament in U-17 category.
In the Semi Final I in U-19 category BPS Pilani defeated Sainik School Kunjpura by 25-23,15-25,25-16,24-26 and 15-13 points .
In Semi Final II Sainik School, Nagrota defeated DPS, Mathura Road by 25-10,25-19, 25-12 points.
In the final match of U-19 category Sainik School, Nagrota defeated BPS,Pilani by 25-22,27-25,25-17 points and became the champion of the tournament.
Manish of Sainik School, Kunjpura has been declared as the Best Attacker in U-19 category while Best Setter was Akhil Baloda of Sainik School, Nagrota.Jatin of BPS, Pilani has been declared as the Best Player of the tournament.
The prizes were distributed by the chief guest and the guests of honour. The chief guest praised the team spirit of both the teams.The captain of volleyball Master Jatin delivered vote of thanks.Principal Mrs Kajal Marwaha,Bursar Mr Mahesh Chandra Pandey and all the officials were present to witness the final match.
IPSC observer of the tournament was Mr Bhargu J. singh, Incharge of Sports, Birla School,Pilani.
The contribution of the convener of the tournament Mr Anand Singh Rathore, the secretary Mr Vinod Kumar Saraswat and the coordinator Mr Sukhpal Tanwar was really commendable.
